  • Fighting Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere

    Hello everybody

As an American-Iranian I am very saddened by the destruction Afghanistan have experienced as a consequence of Islamic extremism - especially the one financed by the Wahhabis and their home country - Saudi Arabia, which is better known as the "Empire of Evil".
We have seen the destruction Al-Qaeda have inflicted upon Afghanistan. But not only there. Iraq have experienced more destruction than any country as a result of Al-Qaeda and it's messed up ideology. We see it in Pakistan and Yemen as well.
Their cousins, the Taliban, have adopted the barbaric elements of Al-Qaeda, their big idols, and their track record is as horrible. Especially when it comes to Afghanistan and Pakistan where they are at home.
We all saw the horrible mosque bombing in Afghanistan last weekend. It broke my heart. There is no doubt that such things did never occur in Afghanistan before the dirty Arabs spread their fascist and extremist ideology completely foreign for Afghanistan (Wahhabism).

The Pashtuns are a brotherly people and they are dear to my heart since we are both Indo-Iranian people with historical and ancestral ties. Therefore I hope that you will fight this disease in your country and prevent it from spreading.
I am not an Muslim myself although I come from an Muslim background but this is certainly not Islam.

    More information about the attack.

Al Qaeda in Iraq fighters dressed as policemen are seen executing policemen with a silenced pistol during the deadly March 5 raid in Anbar province.

We should all hope that such sophisticated and brutal attacks will never happen in Afghanistan anymore as they do elsewhere. It is the real reality and I advice all of you to see it and realize the brutal face of Al-Qaeda.

Take care and I wish Afghanistan and its people all the luck in the world.

eh as much as I agree with your sentiments regarding the Taliban and Wahhabism; This seems to be a platform for covert racism and idiotic Aryanist agenda.

It's true many of the adherents and promoters are Arabs and come from the Arabian Peninsula. It's false to align this with being Arab though, since numerous Arabs are NOT Wahhabi, Salafi or anything like that. Yemen for example has a strong tradition of Sufism and only recently had an upsurge and infiltration of Wahhabism due to Saudi interference.

Another problem is that it removes responsibility of Afghans themselves for their own destiny. you're portraying Afghanistan as some hapless victim of foreign intrusion by the Barbaric Arabian hordes. But no this is facical. How did they manage to penetrate Afghanistan so easily in the first place? It's pretty simple to see the problem was with Afghanistan itself; with Pashtuns themselves. We were messed up to begin with. If we didn't have Extremist nuts high on fire-brand Wahhabi zealotry; we'd be killing each other for our cousin's land. Pashtuns are a tribalistic people a cursory examination of our history is a war between tribes for control of each other's land and lust for power. The Taliban situation is no different, they lust for power, they won't accept anything less than their control,. It is those ingredients already present which lead to our sitiuation.

While suicide bombing is a new phenomena in Afghanistan and promoted by foreign interests, Afghanistan has always had heinous murders, decimating the male members of family (there's actually a word for such an act in Pashto)

While I agree with your stance against Wahhabism'Radicalism and promoting resistance against these elements. I do not agree with your subtle attempt to Promoting bigotry towards Arabs as a people and some type of racially/ethnic Movement based on Aryanism/Indo-Iranianism. I also don't agree with you misleadingly portraying Pashtuns as somehow not responsible for their present condition.

We are responsible for where we are today; it's just foreigners, be they Arabs, Americans , Pakistanis or whoever else who saw that as an opportunity to take advantage of that. Even Iran has had a hand in exploiting our misery mind you.

Let's be intellectually honest about this; not propagandizing and polarizing people.

You are exactly right. This is the common trait amongst persians, pamiris, and their persian speaking acolytes. They act as if they were shi-t shined like gold and along came the Arabs and somehow messed them up before they messed themselves up

Even historically, these fools were screwing around with Alexander, then he came and burned down their house and beat the hell out of their monarchs. To this day they whine about him.

Next they complain about the Arabs but are extremely dishonest as a people. Historically Khosrau viewed the Arabian peninsula as up for grabs and even viewed is as a part of his persian empire. He sent two emissaries to attempt and arrest Muhammad (S) who proceeded to amusingly ask them why they shave the beard and grow out their monstrosity grease ball moustaches and sent them back empty handed.

They destroyed and weakend themselves by screwing with Heracles and stole religious Christian artifacts like brigands, always trying to justify this behavior by saying that they were descendents of Cyrus as if that gets them a get out of jail free card.

Then they whine and complain about how the Arabs supposedly treated them as an imperialized and conquered people yet they have no idea how much leeway they had. If Omar Bin Al Khattab wanted to he could have cleaned Persian out and left bones. Instead there were enough of them left around to massacre sunniyaan under the King who demoted Islam, implemented Shiaism, and purposefully started promoting zoroastrian ideologies.

Then even after this these elite classes brutalized their own people while, like Mary Antoinette, they had the most lavish and expensive meals to celebrate Persian customs and cater to the foreign nations like slaves.

In Yemen its so complex yet is presented as just another group of wahhabies to the world. The anti Saleh salafists there have their own issues with the Arab rulers who have intelligence organization infiltration of the goal of killing these folks; much less the Sufi angst.

They are correct that Saudi idiotically wants to gave airspace to Israel and the US to kill Iranians, but a large swathe of the Arab people actually have a favorable opinion of Iranian prowess against outsiders and dont support aggressive action against Iran even if they have issues with their own shia populations.
