NEW DELHI: Well, looks like the time has come to formulate new customs. Kareena Kapoor, who is all set to tie the nuptial with beau Saif Ali Khan in October, will not follow in the footsteps of her to-be-mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore Bengali had converted to Islam to get married to Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. But the Kapoor girl will not change her religion.

Even Saif doesn’t believe in the tradition of embracing a new religion to get married in case of an inter-religion marriage.

Talking to a reputed media house, Saif said, “I would never want her (Kareena) to change her religion. That is the trouble with religion really... it expects conversion. I don’t buy or believe that. I think it`s good that the government, too, has - unless I`m misinformed about the law amended to include it in the Special Marriage Act. If and when we do get married, no one has to change his or her religion.”

Saif’s mother Sharmila changed her name to Ayesha Begum post marriage and even his first wife, actress Amrita Singh, who was sikh had converted her religion to Islam. But Kareena would not be doing so.

Remember this is not a first case. So many Indian Muslim actors have married Hindu girls

first of all, instead of keeping a tag on the personal life of a bollywood actress, shouldn't you be focusing on being a devoted muslim?? secondly, is the muslimness of the likes of saif ali khan even valid?? thirdly, isn't it acceptable in islam for a muslim man to be married to a non muslim woman??

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

bollywood and hollywood actors follow a different lifestyle. It does not matter what religion they are or claim to be. They are mostly the same when it comes to lifestyle so theyll get a long. These people are just spinning the talk for their fans, they dont really care. To increase their fan base they will say anything, do anything or convert to anything. They are true opportunists.

Who says these actors even have religions to follow? They all belong to a common dharam: Kalakari - as they often state in their interviews.

                  Kalakari = Damtob

i shouldn't be talking about this as it is none of my business but all bollywood actors and actresses live with their girl friends and boy friends these days. religion is not a priority. however, i don't see how that give you the right to pass on a judgment about them, instead of fixing yourselves and dedicating your times towards a better cause.

This is what happens when people care too much about religion and go too far with religious ideas

QUETTA, June 28: At least 13 people, two women and a policeman among them, were killed and over 20 others injured on Thursday in a bomb attack on a bus mainly carrying Shia pilgrims returning from Iran. Most of the pilgrims belonged to the Hazara community.

Quetta police chief Mir Zubair Mehmood said the constable killed in the attack at Hazarganji was on a police vehicle escorting the bus. He said four policemen had been injured.

“An explosives-laden car was used in the attack,” Deputy Inspector General (investigation) Hamid Shakeel told Dawn. He said it was not clear how the bomb had been detonated.

However, some sources said human limbs found with the car’s wreckage indicated it could have been a suicide attack.

Police said the 44-seat bus had reached the outskirts of the provincial capital with police escort when it was hit by the powerful explosion near the fruit market in Hazarganji.

The bus caught fire and skidded for about 50 feet while some passengers fell out of it.

Only a charred wreckage of the bus was left after the explosion, Naseer Ahmed Kakar, a witness, said.

The victims trapped in the wreckage were extricated after heavy machinery was pressed in to prise open the heaps of twisted metal.

The bodies and the injured were brought to the Bolan Medical College Hospital, Civil Hospital and Combined Military Hospital.

“Eight people, including a woman and a police constable, were killed on the spot and five died in hospitals,” sources said, adding that four critically injured people had been admitted to the CMH.

Officials of the bomb disposal squad said about 40kg of explosives had been used in the explosion.

The explosion resounded across the city, causing panic among a jittery populace.

The Frontier Corps and police cordoned off the area before setting about the rescue operation.

Two police vehicles escorting the bus were also badly damaged.

After the tragedy, the authorities stopped other Quetta-bound buses carrying pilgrims from Iran, allowing them to move on only after security clearance.

The victims included constable Fateh Muhammad, Ali Bostan, Ali Hassan, Ghulam Sarwar, Ali Marri, Ali Zaman, Ghulam Raza and Mrs Tasawar Mirza. Five bodies could not be identified till late in the night. A spokesman for the banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, Abu Bakar Siddiq, called reporters late in the night to claim responsibility for the attack.

Although vehicles of law enforcement agencies patrol the Hazarganji bypass round the clock, the arrangement failed to prevent the attack.

Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani and Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Magsi condemned the attack

Which should we be really worrying about more?

......and could you stop trying to hijack terms and phrases I use and trying to seem like you know how to use them correctly......it's like watching a kid (you) who thinks he can operate a powerful assault rifle just because he saw a grown up (me) do it. Or some nerd who think he can do Kung Fu ( you) just because he saw an expert (me) do it.
