if it was a might is right system then ther would be no code. are you implying that the animals in the jungle are following a code that has been passed on to them from earlier generations through oral traditions.

I am serious, you are a funny man.

why, because you say so? I'd say that's exactly why there's a code, who's mightiest wins and can impose his dominance and honor.

This statement is like saying that the US legal system protects criminals by giving them due process. You think that due process encourges criminal activity. Forget DZJ, your the insane one.

No it's not at all like saying that, the very definition of "due process" is the very opposite of protecting criminals......the very definition of nanawatai, is opens for the protection of criminals. .....It's easy to accuse others of insanity when you go into red herrings of due process in America and straw man arguments by basically INVENTING what you think my position is. Now THAT is insane.

listen you retarded piece of ****, I made the mistake of joking with you, forgetting that some of you are not worth spitting at let alone interacting with. If you didn't like the joke, you could have said so like a decent adult and I would have apologized. There was no need for you to go on and on about it whining for two days straight for being told to kill yourself. Wipe away your snot and get over it. And just because I ignored you the first three times, doesn't mean you have the right to continue referring to me as an insane kabuli. This better be the last time you speak of my "insanity". Idiot.

It happens with all major ethnic groups in afghanistan but by no means is it a custom or is it acceptable to people.

See how incompetent you are. It does protect criminals and innocents alike, tboth have a right to be given a fair trial because we dont really know who is a criminal and who is innocent until the trial is over.

nanawatai is similar to due process in a lawless society with no authority in place. instead of an authority who enforces a law such as due process here in the states. Pashtuns follow a code since there is no authority that enforces pashtunwali but the people themselves. Not everyone follows it, some break the code and do what they want just like how the US broke international law and started snatching up people from all over the world and torturing them with the rendition program.
Those that break the pashtunwali code is considered baighyrata, those that break international law is considered a rogue state.

This guy is talking about Bush breaking the American code. "This is a peoples democracy, We are the people, These are our elected officials, they tortured people so we tortured people." Very similar to pashtunwali.
Keith Olbermann Special Comment: President Obama must prosecute Bush and Cheney for torture - YouTube

Your position is that of an idiot who knows nothing.

Having Olbermann make an editorial on Bush who is an elected official has NOTHING to do with People who live under some unwritten code which is only enforced by the group who perceives the transgression.

If it was "beghairata" it would be beghairata to give "nanawatai" to criminals then. Because that in turn would be supporting "Beghairata" so this means it's not Beghairata for a mn to steal a girl; it's Beghairata for a tribe to be unable to protect the girl from kidnapping That is where the grievance comes from. iN tribal culture who is considered rogue and who isn't depends on who's powerful and who isn't. The rule of Law in a Civil System of Law is not the same.

You've done so much to make Pashtuns and Pashtunwali seem like it is not some nationalized system of law, now you're trying to equate it as a legal standard , when there is no organized system of criminal indictment. This is the essence of intellectual dishonesty.
