You guys always generalize ISI. it was gen hameed gul . who still preaches hate against americans. but the leadership of isi has been changed and now isi views everything in a quite different way.

By the way taliban were not the real problem. I guess you already know how the warlords (mujahideen) were busy fighting each other after soviet withdrawl.

General hamid gul was a terrible example and a hypocrite of the highest order. Pakistan adopted a suicidal policy of strategic depth and now it is time to pay the piper for it. SOM I would appreciate it if you would counter an argument rather than using basic sentences. Real News is not run by anyone from Afghanistan, but rather a North American alternative media channel (the journalist is Brazilian).

It does not matter what he was preaching rather what he did, and the fact that he was a part of a policy that has been very negative to the region. Now Pakistan like the Americans are suffering blow back for the policy they took up back in the 80s, and their complicity in the 90s.
