Insight: As Afghan exit looms, U.S. debate rages over Haqqani militants
go tell your muslim brother assad to get his s**t together or else YOUR AMERICA and NATO will be called in to sort the crap out.
The syrian people have to sort the crap out. America will only sort it out for its own intererst at the expense of the people and so the cycle will continue. The cycle will only stop if the people are left alone and sort it out themselves.
all well and good to say that khushal but you must know people in syria and politicians are calling for nato and the yanks to intervene.
it is not MY call. go tell that to your government.
The current unrest in the middle east was planned by some european countries and uk, how? They helped the arabs revolt against the ottoman empire then took over the arab world and middle east and north africa, south africa, south asia, like india also they divided it into modern day india and pakistan and lets not forget kurdistan and balochistan they divided them into other countries which are not settled because of the balochis and kurds organizations, revolts, attacks, etc.. Even there own historians said that ww3 is going to start in the middle east.
Oh and i also forgot north africa, algeria suffered alot from the french even children and women were executed, about south africa you can see the countries there, they are the most sufferers, i dont want to talk about crimes on and against women (especially) there.
And i forgot also, they gave palestine to the jews. They knew that there was going to be wars in every region they divided in the middle east, south asia, north and south africa. They just divided them like a cake!!
but this leads us again to the begining , why did they start this war , and who actually was behind 911 ???
and i stongly belive that the isi is behind the leading shura of the taliban .
because if we would just calculate and balance the interessts , the taliban were the solution of american interessts in the region .
!
You are right. The intersts of the Taliban and the US are parrallel. Deposing the Taliban was against US interests, that is why from the beginning it was a lose-lose situation no matter what the outcome would have been. If they had successfully eliminated the Taliban, they would still have lost. The NA's interests are counter to US interests.
Americas mistake was letting afghanistan spin into chaos after the soviet collapse. Nations in the middle east who rule with an iron hand, limit freedoms of speech are dealing with a society that is a ticking time bomb. Those people arent going to stop craving freedoms. Some will run away to the West to satisfy their cravings, others will organize and change society inside their country, yet others will run off and organize where they can. Afghanistan was a choice of the latter. Afghanistans chaotic state was perfect for these people who can then hit their enemies.
Hitting the Taliban and destroying the organization of AQ and like minded groups was the strategy. But that is not going to solve the root of the problem which is the authoritarian/dictator management of the middle east. The Taliban was also useful in containing Iran which was in the interests of those same dictators in the middlle east.
That is why it would have been more efficient and cost effective to have worked with the taliban than against them. The biggest losers in this miscalcualtion are the afghan people themselves.

In the American civil war the south was also telling the brits to intervene becasue they needed help. It was better that the americans were left alone and sort it out themselves. 1.5 million americans died but they learned a very powerful lesson and have resulted in a more stble union.
i don't necessarily disagree, but that is not how it is working these days. countries keep empowering america by calling them in or telling nato that they have a responsibility to intervene to help the civilians being killed or oppressed by inept rulers or nutty dictators.
the neocons are also very strong on the issue of america retaining it's position as the big boss man of the world.
