There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

no osama and saddam were trolls for Muslim world if Muslim world was forum. America is like a moderator that has stepped in to deal with them. A very nice moderator bringing business, democratic mentality, and technology. Soon afghanistan will be up into same business speed as India.Originally posted by randolph85 View Post^ i hope to god that you are a troll.

back on topic , sort of.
I too used to buy into the narrative like the CIA created Osama or that Osama made Afghans kill each other in civil war, but it is simply un true
I recently watched a documentary; in fact it was posted by Mostafa1919
Inside the taliban (national geographics) - YouTube
here it is
here are some things that I learned from the video
1.) The CIA ..despite what I and others have been saying were only nomially in contact with Osama and AlQaeda, which debunks the previously held belief ( that I and many others had) that CIA created Al-Qaeda
2.) The Afghan civil war started AFTER U.S., Russian and Saudi Arabian interests in region were withdrawn so Bin Laden was LONG gone when the civil war started.
3.) The civil war was not motivated by Pakistan, on the contrary the civil war was motivated by Afghanistan's internal politics of who should have control and take leadership.
4.) Pakistan's involvement in the early stages of the Taliban was wishywashy; they did not CREATE the Taliban, but hopped on the Taliban band wagon because they were becoming powerful. Pakistan was trying to secure their geopolitical stage in the region.
5.) Massoud initialized hostility towards the Taliban, not the other way around.
6.) Pakistan supported the Taliban against Massoud because Massoud was already being aided by "Pakistan's enemies, Iran, Russia and India".
7.) Bin Laden was invited by Rabbani, just as Randolph85 stated, he was in Jalalabad and was invited as a mediator. After Jalalabad fell he was more or less reclused and then made to pay loyalty to Mullah Omar.
8.) Bin Laden started providing money to build highways, improve agriculture etc etc. ( RichPashtun said he never did these things ....I used to believe the same).
9.) Bin Laden did provide military help, Saudis financial help, Pakistan Man Power help to the Taliban, after Massoud creamed the Taliban in Kabul.
10.) Bin Laden was required to follow the rules of the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan"; he did not influence or create those rules; especially since Bin Laden himself was in favor of modern technology and videos/taking pictures; something that the Taliban shunned.
11.) Mullah Omar was often very suspicious and critical of Bin Laden
In Summary Bin Laden was in fact a minor player in the Afghan civil war and other than "supporting" the Taliban he had no real influence to motivate the Taliban to fight the Northern alliance; this was already existing and well underway by the time he got involved.
Bin Laden's crime was his extremist attitudes; the fact is , Afghans themselves never really had to deal with any influence from AlQaeda, bar Taliban getting some financial and Military support from Bin Laden
the fault of the Afghan civil war ....was purely our own.Last edited by RevolutionThroughReason; 04-27-2012, 09:28 AM.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
pure comedy, although if you're serious, not only were Saddam and Osama trolls; but America too is a troll, not a moderator. different trolls for different motives. One troll fighting another troll is not moderation.

what kind of bad talk is this? Nonsense no one in Afghanistan wants bin Ladin around only you and pakis!!! Hamid karzai did battle on afghan behalf against dark osama. Mostafa trying hard with you to cover up crimes. Then he hurt 3000 innocent souls so that our friend Amreeka had to badal it's babies and old people. And Taliban were first made of simple peoples then Arabs did dumoona on them and made them Wahabis aggressive like sister dazahrojaam said against others!

That's so far from the truth America OPPOSED the Arab Spring initially and they only changed when they realized they couldn't stop it . If they were trying to free ANYONE their foreign policy would have been different.Originally posted by RichPashtun View PostAmerica is like benevolent creator of forum trying to free Arabs even when they want dark ages. being a super power doesn't mean they're not a troll, just a troll with a lot of undue power.
Osama wanted Afghanistan's mineral wealth? Then he would have stayed in Afghanistan and built mineral mining facilities than AlQaeda.
Watch the video; it's by "Amreekans" so you know it's legit, most of the held opinions of people were way off.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
lol @ osama wanting afghanistans mineral wealth.
afghanistan today with all its international recognition and foreign money won't even see the fruits of its mining contracts for like 20 years after the war started.
i really want to think this is a troll, but i know some hairy, old, and stupid afghans who think like this so i am not so sure. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. sure I want to be fair and balanced as possible; but I feel the Taliban's use of suicide tactics, especially against civilian infrastructure; even if it is police. Is inexcusable. They may have had valid reasons for some of these tactics (corrupt police chiefs, personell etc etc etc). But they did not use due process in their dealings and hence none of us can know for sure. If the Taliban want peoples support they need to completely repent their crimes, make better decisions and most importantly have complete transparency and accountability.Originally posted by Afghanistan2010 View PostIt was a first step,to understanding the facts-
Without these Taliban are as zalim as NATO ....Massoud ..Hekmatyar and Pakistan
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
