  • Never Published Before : The Fall of Paktia to the Mujahideen in 1979

I seek refuge in Allah from the outcast Satan

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH THE BENEFICENT THE MERCIFUL.

Afghanistan has been at war since April 1978. During every phase of the conflict—the coup of April 1978 that brought to power the factionalized Marxist-Leninist People’s
Democratic Party of Afghanistan, its radical reform measures and brutal crackdown on the
uprisings that followed; the Soviet invasion of December 1979,and it was a day like today, and the allies of the Communists feared the Uprising so much that they thought that all mountains of Paktya are invaded by Mujahideen fighters. The Local authorities were so frightend that they were not even going to work or leaving their work place to go home. The brave people who sided with Islam decided to join the Resistance and create new factions all over the province and the country.People always will say this was not Resistance you were helped by the Americans and such things, but my calm reply to them is my son, your Americans themselves were ****ting in their pants and no foreigner was involved in the Resistance, the world was in fear of the Soviets, what will be their next step ? Pakistan,Iran ?
And it was the out cry of the Jalaludin Haqqani Saheb, who is with us ? and he was known to the people and he was declared the leader of the resistance in eastern Afghanistan and this fact remained to the day that you are reading this. And we are writing the year 2012.And after declaring this noble cause of Resistance.
There were only a few fighters deployed near the city of Gardez and other areas.
And a man,may his name remain in history of Afghanistan and Paktia for he is not other than a very close relative of me,and may Allah grant him paradise and forgiveness, was well known in Paktya for his tribal leadership, the communists rulers of paktya came to him to beg him for help,he ordered the locals who were not fighters and had not a single weapon,to place alot of wood at every position and cover them with something and let some woods look out, when this was done he meet the leaders of the communists terrorists.

He (the tribal leader) said :what is the matter with you, don't you dare to visit and capture the mountains from those who roam them.

The communists said : Oh you so and so,are there many here?

The tribal leader said : take your binoculars and look up to the mountains!

The communists said : Oh you what are these and who are these men(there were 4 or 5 at every place they were villagers)?

The tribal leader said : These are the ones hunting for you and your friends, and will capture soon Kabul.

The communists said : Are these weapons,im sure these are american, paktistani weapons, these are rocket launchers and heavy guns and im sure they will destroy us and our friends.Oh so and so please resuce us , save us.

at this moment he started to run,the tribal leader said : you will die with this hair cut (communist hair cut),the tribal leader took out a small pair of scissors and cut his
is hair, after this he ordered him and his friends to run and never return to paktya or speak about communism if they want to survive.

And this is lead to the capture of several areas of paktya and was largely under the control of resistance, and this event especially led to the capture of those areas with out a fight.

This is for sure the end of this untold story.

if you get a haircut every 10 days....you might be a communist.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

                This is marvelous history !

It would have been lost, otherwise.

Can you collect any MORE of these stories.
It is charmingly told, very authentic.
I can almost hear the Muhahid speaking !

By the way Paktia has always been the toughest of all the Pashtun
areas against outsiders - at least this is what I wrote in my articles
after having watched some Mujahideen victories over Soviets & Afghan Communist Army at various sites.

Plus, if this has not been previously mentioned, the
"PACTYES" were the ONLY Afghans mentioned specifically by
Greek historians who recounted the expedition of Alexander the Great through
what is now the country of Afghanistan.

So Paktiawals [if that's the right term] obviously stood out
                even 2,350 years ago !

                Now -
as for this hero Maulavi Jelaluddin, I sincerely hope that
his memory will be preserved, how he persevered against the
seemingly indomitable Shuravi- [Soviet Army ]
when most other people even in independent-minded Paktia,
would have given up in the face of such military power.

These stories should be taught to Afghan schoolchildren of the region
so that no one will forget.

At minimum, a major airport should be named in the future after Jelaluddin !

On a PF thread about airport names, I suggested Kabul International Airport, but too many from other
ethnic groups would contest that perhaps.
What about Khost Airport at least ?

Right now, the Americans sought to defame him as much as possible.
But even with all their mighty propaganda machine, they couldn't find
anything wrong about him as a person. All Pashtuns of the area view him
as a just and fair arbitrator.

Brothers there are other strategic areas more important to the Islamic emirate, among them are :

1.Classified as secret ( in western part of the country)
2.Wardak province ( direct link to Kabul and closeness to Kabul).
                          3.Paktika and Paktia
4.Ghazni ( direct link to Kabul)
                          5.Khost (CIA operation centers)
6.Classified as secret ( in northern part of the country)
                          7.Kandahar / for supplies
8.Helmand / for supplies and vocation area of the Islamic emirate.
                          9.Nuristan,Kunar and Nangrahar

but the fighting is all over Afghanistan intense, and the americans and its allies are facing tough days, they are no more leaving their bases to go out and chill by every patrol they meet resistance.

We should create a thread with all the maps of Afghanistan.

But the big question is what happened after the fall of Paktia to the Mujahideen! what did they do that benefitted Paktia besides butcher Afghan soldiers and opened up markets for their women to be sold to Arab Mujahideen.

Communism brought the right of education for all while Mujahideen brought the righ to Jahilat and backwardness for all.

Let them suffer, who cares man, sooner or later, paktia and other regions would be of no value, nobody will care, they will suffer due to backward Islamists and the Pakistanis and Iranians will prosper and progress and not even look at these people.

I just hope the sane and educated classes in Pakhtunkhwa are not affected by this dark side of Afghan society, hopefully we will prosper and progress as a people elsewhere, let the jahilun live as jahils but dont run to our hosptials, schools and cities for better opportunities, better standards of living and better medical treatment.

These developments are not introduced over night.

Plus why are you so ANTI-Socialist, your living in the west, which happens to use a Socialistic welfare system to cater for your families needs and requirements.

                              Trashy people!
