Everyone knows even if the Taliban won it would be a pyrhrric victory, they'd just end up massacring afghan civilians and then other militant groups and who knows? probably each other. The Taliban backlash isn't something they see as a real threat, Caucaus Islamists sure but not Taliban. Taliban can't even read, the Chechens can
America in incapable of confronting Rusia in central asia, it cant even confront pakistan.

Your second paragraph is too irrational. When I read that, it tells me that you dont even know why America is there in the first place. Your lost in your own conspiracy theory. Reread Barackzai last post and let us know if you can figure out where you went wrong.

you mean Chechen fighters trained in Afghanistan? Yeah like a handful, AlQaeda is out of commission, Taliban are too dumb to have any real geopolitical plans, they're more worried about beard length and if people are at the mosque. The Caucaus threat is something totally different really. America is there for hegemony, simple, they just want to have brand Afghanistan's toosh with "America was here , stay away". Russia wants the same, it's not that complicated. Just hopping "conspiracy theory" labeling band wagon is silly just because the opposition uses the term, doesn't mean mindlessly tossing out the term without correct application. I mean conspiraciy theories are usually NOT evidence based but attempt at narratives. This is evidence based, taliban confessions. I don't get why people want to make Taliban seem more legit than they are. They maybe gullible and zealous, but that holds nothing as for as credibility is concerned.

You dont have a confession. You have one random article with one random quote. No proof of arms exchanges. In the world of Judith Miller that doesnt go very far. No one earth, no security analyst would ever endorse... heck even the Taliban's worst enemies would laugh at this SXE. Putin risking something like this? I think in your zeal to simply somehow prove the Taliban are inept you are inadvertantly turning them into superheros with global support. You cannot be a dumb pawn and at the same time procur all this tacit support and still not get caught by the CIA that caught OBL in Abbatabod.

so when a thief says that he took a loaf of bread it means he lied because no one saw him take a loaf of bread. What planet are we on? LOL NATO funded AlQaeda in Libya, and they're facing very little backlash about that so long as they play coy, same with Russia, why are basic politics so hard for you people to grasp? It's astonishing that you guys need to reinvent the wheel in every debate.
