MARDAN: Four persons were killed and six others injured over a family feud in Qayum Abad Toru area in the jurisdiction of Toru police station on Saturday night.
Police said the accused Noor-ul-Amin, Mohammad Anees, Sabir, Bahadur Shah and Amin broke into the house of their maternal uncle, Fakir Shah, and opened indiscriminate fire killing his wife Gohara, son Wajid Ali Shah, daughter Surraia Khanam and son-in-law Jawad Hussain on the spot. Six other family members also received bullet injuries.
The injured persons were identified as Farida Khanam, Siyad Mohammad, Mohammad Daniyal, Najma, Maryam Wisal, and Naila Aziz.All the injured were rushed to Mardan Medical Complex, however, three of them were shifted to Peshawar in critical condition.
Fakir Shah registered FIR in Toru police station against all the accused, who had made their escape good soon after committing the murders. He told police that an old enmity between the two families led to this fatal incident.
