India always had an independent foreign policy, at least much independent than how you think it to be.

India supported Palestine's (still does) right to an independent state since 1948. It only recognized Israel in 1991. Do you think a lapdog of the West would have avoided diplomatic relations with such a close ally of the US for so long?

India never signed any of the nuclear treaties like CTBT, NPT etc. How would a country under Western influence be allowed to do that?

About Afghanistan, India's policy is governed by Pakistan's actions. Pakistan untill Musharraf complied with Bush' WoT, always propped up and supported the Taliban. Hence India was against the Taliban and supported NA. The WoT was also in a way against the Taliban, and hence India's support. Though you'd note, it's still non-militarily.

The environmental conferences Durban et al, and India's independent stand on behalf of the developing nations is another evidence of India's independent policy.

You must read and learn a lot about the contexts and the history involved before making comments like you do.

India and ther Pakistani counterparts have supported the War on terror

They have only been friendly with puppet governments of Afghanistan.

India also has only been supporting the Afghan minorities such as Tajiks, Uzbeks, and Hazaras.

Pakistan recognized the Taliban before. They were not behind the Taliban or its rise to power. That happened due to the crimes and disorder.

Militant communists started the war with their communist revolution and the assassination of Daud Khan.

In fact, this is the reference point for all the war- their attempts to impose a foreign ideology and unwanted occupation upon Afghanistan

Don't be an uncle Tom, and start spreading lies and distortions

That's it? Are you kidding yourself?

That area has known crimes and disorder since centuries. But suddenly thousands of AK carrying men rose, organized themselves and rode on tanks and pick-up trucks and defeated all other groups in Afghanistan and captured Kabul. Nobody trained or guided them. They were just tribesmen and god's chosen fighters doing it all on their own. Right?

            Read about Hamid Gul.

              Read about Hamid Gul.

Hamid Gul had absolutely nothing to do with the Taliban. The Taliban rose to power in response to the crimes and disorder that was a result of the civil war. Taliban did not formally exist during the war against the Soviets.

Their initial act was delivering brutal justice to a child rapist. do you think that was a made up story?

Your meaning to say that Afghans ( who have ruled modern day India and Pakistan) are incapable of civil movements?

Pakistan has a hand in it? Really? Do you think this incompetent state of Pakistan also has a hand in Occupy Wall street, and the Islamic spring in the Middle East?

All Pakistan, UAE, and Saudi Arabia did was recognize that a new government had come to power.

India , instead of doing that, continued to back the Northern Alliance, and create ethnic strife. How come Northern Alliance was unable to rule Afghanistan?

India gets 18 percent of its oil from Iran,
so it's clear that India needs Iran, and will not care of the usa.
