what is your source of reliable news

what newspaper/www/tv source do you use for reliable news?
i am looking for a reliable media tracking of what is going on at home.

pajhwok.com (somewhat unbiased)
Afghan news (totally biased/pro foreign invasion)
press tv(pro shia and persian bias)
al jazeera (seculer arab nationalists/pro arab)

JOhn stewart is a good source sometimes.

so to know the news one needs to check all the biased and partisan channels to make up one's mind about whats going on.

even though i find journalism next to holly still unfortunately there isnt enough true journalism nowadays.
there are some documentary makers and thats about it.

Not any particular source.but i read the news information on atleast 3 different media sources(not any blog). And comparision of the information , helps to thwart bias of any nationality/religion/politics..

As most of Afghanistan off the grid you won't get anything "reliable" since most foreign reports don't venture out to the villages where the real carnage takes place.

Why don't you watch Afghan Satellite channels? You can find them on the internet broadcasted live. There are at least 10 channels now.

I don't think there is such a thing. I don't watch the news but I do read the newspaper and check online websites. I get the information on what and where from the news and try to figure the why of it on my own.*There is no such thing as a hundred percent reliable news source.

i think the webpage of the islamic emirate of afghanistan which is adminstrated by a known brother on facebook from ghazni and liveleak arethe most reliable source among the above listed.

as for pajhwok and aljazeera arabic they do their job well.

No, I think it's because it was written in Pashto but my internet browser could not read it because I did not installed the foreign languages package so it was replaced by symbols.

Press Tv is probably the most
PROFESSIONAL of media outlets which has a strong
anti-US invasion of Middle East region
slant.

I am not saying they are perfect in all regards ;
one feels they are learning themselves and
wish to improve.

By the way they have a survey on their site to
ask for readers' views - there is a space for comments.
Why not fill some in and express any complaints
directly to their staff?
I am sure they will be receptive.

Remember that for example Press Tv may cover some Shia
EVENTS.
But that doesn't mean they are looking pejoratively
at Sunnis or Sunni Afghans.
I think they are trying to be fair, from what I can see,
and wisely build consensus on topics that most people in
the region and abroad [they have many European and American
commentators as well as Iranians and others]
on basics of agreement.
So they don't highlight the differences, but try to
work around what will unite many people in order
to change minds, hence eliminate Western interference
in all the countries of the region.

GYE, that Jon Stewart guy is horrible.

There are so many smarter people out there.
Though he is quite popular with Americans
who are BARELY BEGINNING to QUESTION a few basics.

It doesnt change anything: when i comment on PressTv website : i dont like you iranian lol , yes í know this Jon Stewart he is a jew but he has some good arguments he defends sometimes islam passively,or he questions some typical sayings about different things and the ridiculousness.
