  • For the Taliban Supporters

Its an old article and I am in process of getting the Geo video of Nek Mohammad Wazir but here we go, something to show the Taliban supporters out there.

    * Corps commander says foreign militants must surrender by April 30
    * 50 tribesmen to be freed
    * Nek Muhammad pledges loyalty to Pakistan

    By Iqbal Khattak

SHAKAI: Five tribesmen accused of sheltering Al Qaeda militants surrendered to the Pakistan army at a tribal council on Saturday.

Thousands of tribesmen looked on as the five men from the Zalikhel tribe turned themselves in before a jirga, and pledged loyalty to Pakistan in return for clemency.

The ceremony took place at a madrassa in Shakai, 20 kilometres north of Wana. Witnesses said the five tribesmen came to the assembly unarmed and one of them offered a pistol as a gift to the corps commander while the others offered prayer mats and copies of the Quran.

“We give amnesty to these people in return for their pledge of brotherhood and loyalty,” said Peshawar Corps Commander Lt Gen Safdar Hussain, who arrived at the jirga to chants of Allah-o-Akbar. “I congratulate Nek and his colleagues on their courageous decision. You are our brothers and your allegiance pledge is exemplary,” Gen Hussain said after the wanted men joined him in the ceremony.

Paramilitaries provided security for Gen Hussain while heavily-armed supporters of the wanted men took positions in and around the compound where the jirga was meeting. Gen Hussain said the foreign militants had until April 30 to surrender and receive a pardon or he would send troops after them. He also announced the release of 50 tribesmen arrested last month. The corps commander said others who were found innocent would also be freed. Gen Hussain announced Rs 90.1 million for development in Waziristan.

Amid loud applause from tribesmen, the leader of the five wanted tribesmen declared his allegiance. “Pakistan is our home. We want peace here. The Pakistani forces are our brothers,” Nek Mohammad said. “We regret what has been done on the basis of misunderstanding. Let’s forget what happened. We and the army should not repeat that,” Nek Muhammad said. “We may have made some mistakes, and the army may have done the same. But it’s important that we do not repeat them,” said Mr Nek who fought alongside the Taliban against the Northern Alliance.

Nek said military commanders should not act against the tribal people on advice from others, an apparent reference to the US. “Talk to us directly if you have any suspicion,” he said. Nek said Pakistan’s western borders were never attacked because of the tribal people while India had attacked the country’s eastern border many times. “The tribal people are Pakistan’s atom bomb,” said Nek. Tribal Areas security chief Brigadier (r) Mehmood Shah said no more military offensives would be needed in South Waziristan if the tribesmen abide by the conditions of the deal. However, he said Pakistani forces would nevertheless remain in South Waziristan.

Meanwhile, 30 tribesmen were injured, two of them seriously, when the roof of a house caved in as they waited for the jirga, hospital sources in Wana told Daily Times.

Agencies add: Military spokesman Maj Gen Shaukat Sultan said the wanted men would not be handed over to any country. He said the government would compensate tribesmen for their losses during the operation after a survey. US Lieutenant Colonel Matt Beevers told a news briefing in Kabul he welcomed the negotiated settlement in Shakai.

Nek Mohammad was a moderate element of the wazir/masud tribesmen. He was the only one that was willing to make peace with the pak army instead of confronting it. After his death, the more extreme elements took over and wanted no part in peace with the pak army and viewed them the same as NATO.

Nek Mohammad wanted to avoid a two front war, NATO on one side and the Pak army on the other side. since he was with the Afghan Taliban from the beginning, his main focus was NATO and not the Pak army. That changed with baitulah and hakimulah.

Mr Edge,Is it not strange, how a Shia Punjabi 11th core commander was airlifted into Taliban terrority, and hugged the founder of the TTP.

Why is so hard for the Taliban supporters to stomach this fundamental truth, that Pakistan controls the Taliban.

EMKHAN, is a good example of your typical Pakistani Lunatic. He wont send his own son to blow himself up, he will just tell others to do it.

You ever wonder, why the Taliban commander never blow themselves up, its because they brainwash others to do so.

Why don't you go and fight the Taliban ? Rather than telling others to fight with them like ANP and other secularists elites sitting in Air conditioned rooms telling others go and fight, and they themselves enjoying previleges given by America and others. But I know you won't do that because you are hypocrite ao ghatta khabara bya daa da che da talibano na der yaregey.

actually when napak forces tried to invade waziristan they faced Nek mohamad who taught them a good lesson.
napak forces wanted to do a peace treaty and after the peace treaty had nek mohamad killed .the peopel of waziristan saw they cant trust napak state on peace treaties cuz they not only broke the treaty but had their tribal leader killed.
so than the new tribal leader baitullah and as continues are fighting for nek mohamad, one to avenge his death and two to keep the napak state out of their country.

Nek Mohammad only made peace with Pakistani forces after capturimg some 300 of them in a fight. The humiliation was too much so the Pakistani army asked tribal elders to hold a meeting. They then convinced Nek Mohammad that these are Muslims soldiers and an Islamic nation so he should make peace with them, and concentrate his efforts on the Afghan side. This Pashtun man was tricked using emotional and religious appeal into doing this whole ceremony thing. Later realizing he and his men had caused Pakistani army humiliation by capturing so many of them and killing the rest, he made all those passionate remarks just to sweeten things up. We know how Pashtuns can be after dealing a rough deal to someone. He try to do something nice and be humble with those gestures.

But Pakistan army didn't forget or forgive and gave his location away using a chip they installed on him after the ceremony. They asked the US/NATO to take him out, otherwise the US/NATO was not concerned with him at all.

That is why Baitullah Maseed went hardcore on the Pakistanis right after Nek's death.

Was you high when you wrote this? Nek Mohammad Wazir was educated by a Noor Wazir of Wana, who was a member of JUI. Connected with the Army too. This Muslim that and Muslim this, is just mere excuses, Nek Wazir was the guy who with ISI accomodated all the Jihadis into Waziristan.

He said "Pakistan is his country, and the tribal people are the atomic bomb of Pakistan" he never referred to Afghanistan and hugged a 11th core Punjabi Army Commander.

I think you are in denial! and watch too many braveheart movies.

Nek Wazir was always the stooge of the Pak Army, he served them during the Taliban government, was mentored and educated by a well known ISI stooge party member of JUI.

convince Muslim this and convince Muslim army that is mere non sense, theres no such thing as a Muslim issue in this, Baitullah tipped off the authorities on Abdullah Mahsuds hide out in Zhob, he accused him of being an CIA agent because Abdullah went against the Pak gvt, and Baitullah had warm ties with the Pak govt then, everyone knows this in the Tribal areas.

Baitullah,Nek Wazir, Turkistani Bhittani(former Pak officer), Abdullah Mahsud are/were stooges of ISI from the beginning.

You can make all the excuses you want to make you happy but the fact remains is, Nek Wazir would have sold his own people for Pakistan and he demostrated that during the visit by Pak army officers, and it has nothing to do with Islam or being Muslim.

These Children in the West have no idea who the TTP are.

As much as this Soldat character hates me and as much as I dislike him - No, that post was not "right". It's degenerate behavior. It isn't how someone with any honour conducts themselves no matter how they feel about another person, there are certain levels that you do not descend to. The post in question was uncalled for, insulting and I would have deleted it the moment I saw it. Of course I would have deleted many of Soldat's posts also but that isn't the point here.
