Dear Al Arab - thank Youfor the long post - hopefully a won't forget to reply to anything.
Nice that You know much about our region.
What I mean with the Jews is the same You mean - i have read their speeches against zionism.
I have a book published in Minsk about the conference of Tehran on Holocaust studies. There are some speeches of an those jews.
What is concerning Georgia - it were almost they who cooperated with Russians and ask for their help. Now the do not like to mention it - but even in Caucasian campains of Russia they profited a lot(over some Lezgi and Avar lands for example). Also Teflis was tthe capital of Russian rule in caucasus.
I quoted The Abbassids bacuse the time Persia was under them we had problems.
Dear Al Arab - with christianity You didn't understand me - Georgia before wasn't orthodox it was Apostolic church like Armenians and Udins, but to please Russia they made a reform and joind the Orthodox church(it was not a move Russians asked as the other christians maintained their own tradition and belief.
Yes our region was christianized early - but it was christianized with blood(do not believe it has been done for believe - it has been done only for political reasons - people of Caucasus had strong spiritual traditions and were somehow united in their belief (even if the peoples are so different). Unfortunately christianism was spread in the Caucasus to most other peoples through my country and also not every time in nice ways(btw some Armenians who didn'T christianize fled to northern Caucasus and found a shelter there).
Russians(or lets say the empire) preferd christian people - similar to the otomans they based their reig on protection of christianism - even if it was a fake in reality.
Chechens and Daghestanis and Cherkes suffered of them .
Concerning Shamil - he lived long time with Russians when he gave up his weapons and in older age the Zar as promised send him to nowdays Saudi arabia.
Some other like Baysangur continued fighting and were angry abot Iman Shamil gave up the weapons(today unfortunately this became reason of offendings as Baysangur was Chechen and Shamil was Avar - sometimes I heard realy hard offensive tonse from people one to the other for this reason).
The comunist theme we can leave I think and close it - as its a theme a part , and not a nice theme, if You don't mind?!
About the georgians - I do nnot remember how they were killed , I should ask my friend but I lost contact to him unfortunately and even if I tried I didn't succeed to find him.
He was one of the Armenians fighting for Abkhazia togther with Basayev.
Russians in Caucasus are not many - the most Russian populated lands on Caucasus are Krasnodar and Stavropol regions - but even there they do not form a majiority and many who call themselves Russians may have different origins.
The Qadyrovs are nowdays corrupt , as many governors in Russia - but at least Qadyrov made some good moves -for example under his rule alcohol is finally completely banned in Chechnya and many mooves are done to rebuild Chechnya - and I think the newer russian ruler realized to keep alife and respect traditions of every nation in Rus.federation - Chechens and Daghestanis are nowdays becoming stronger and stronger.
I have a personal respect to Daghestani and Ossetians as they are really strong men of word and with their lifestyle they show that they have true belief.
Dear Al Arab - yes sure Russia would be destroyed if they would not subbort minorities - but except of the destruction of its political structure(what isn't important ) this would lead to death of many people - it is easy to manipulate single ethnic groups from outside and to create hate one to the other.
Perhaps You do not know - but hate somehow exists now even between some Daghestani groups, Daghestan and Chechens(its not the majority , but unfortunatly the percentual is growing as seems to me).
Soe of Caucas republics are artificial(Stalin!) and already Britian tried to manipulate them to put hate between different peoples.
yes Caucasus is divided - but I didn't start with Russians dear Al Arab - what was done in the last 200 years was just the peak - but reasons for this division go to some caucasian kingdoms(kingdom wasn't a typical thing for us - the "kings" we had in ancient time were not kings in western understanding - and every region was connected one to the other - in times of war we were fighting our enemies together(we did so with almost everybody).
About the British - nowadays their secret services support many groups inside Russian caucasus - many people even left fighting the Russians critisizing that fact.
Nowadays things changed a lot to the begining of 1990 - I am not well informed on their methods - but if You ask people in Daghestan they can tell You surely more.
One thing I have to correct, I think I toled it already to someone here - not all Ossetians are Christian, sme are muslim and some are of traditional belief as well.
I hope not to be wrong saying that mainly digor Ossetians are Muslim, but I am not sure - so I do not want to tell wrong things.
daghestan is actually a very different country and You will see as great respect between different nations as the opposite.
Hopefully I answered all questions to You.
    If not remind me please.
You know if an evil person(like this CIA man Brzhezinsky(hopefully I remembered his name?) wants Cacucasus can become a rwale battlefield - the hate of different nations(and you can see that everybody nowdays has some wrong ideas against the other) derive from the old times - we were neighbours and for that reason our histories are somehow connected - but if somebody presents this connection or overlapping of cultures as influence it leads to hate -hopefully it will never happen again(in Georgia it happened for example due to their stupid politics).
Ok I finish my posting(perhaps we got a lot out of theme so its possible to create a theme that at least relates somehow Pashtns and region of Caucasus ).
I surely did many mistakes(unfortunately I am not strong in typing and my keybord also doesn't work properly.
If You disagree or have questions I am opened to answer them.
Thank You for Your good and detailed reply

Better not hold the mediation talks in Abottabad, because no telling how many Saudi opponents are hiding there. Pak army couldn't tell you, because they don't know who's living in Abottabad.
You stupid idiot. Millions of Saudi dollars go directly to the Taliban.

What happened to this Pakhtun resistacne(sarcastically saying)?

Why would a Pro Afghan Pro Pashtun Nationalist movement like the TTP(according to GOE) consider a country like Pakistan as their own, and consider peace talks with it?

            Strange isnt it!
The TTP or the Afghan Taliban are not pashtun nationalist movements.
The Saudis give millions to the Taliban. they support them against as leverage against Iran.
the Haqqanis want to concentrate all resources against NATO instead of Pakistan and NATO. a one front war is better than a two front war. dig it.

Dear Arevapasht thank you for you post. You do not need to apoligize for your keyboard.

You said many interesting things I did not now (or had forgot). For example that Georgians are now Orthodox Christians when before they had their own church like you Armenians.

I thought that Christianity is very important for Armenians because of it ancient history. My father always told me that the Armenians who lived in Iraq and especially Baghdad (there were about 20.000) had a big Armenian Cathedral and did many good things for the society. They were also very close to Assyrians.

This is sad that some peoples are now divided in Caucasus even from the same religion.

About Kadyrov. Yes, he has done some good things but his rule is not good in my opinion. But that is another discussion.

Are the relations between Georgians and Armenians good nowadays, dear Arevapasht?

Unfortunately my reply is short because my time is very limited today but if you made a Caucasus topic here it would be very interesting. I think you should make it as a Armenian and not me. It is a very interesting region and important political/religious things happen right now that need to be discussed.

              Thank you again.

Dear Al Aab - I am very glad we found our common language, first!
That is important, this may be also the reason of my primary agressivity and missunderstandings , that hopely forever passed - you will notice it is a type of national chrachter as I am considered here a very calm and moderate person(it isn't my opinion, but that of my friends). However - as we hopefully left any missunderstandings behind I am glad very glad.
About Christianity - unfortunately the christianity that came to Armenia had nothing to do with Jesus Christ from the begining - but in the history os Armenian Christianism have been some brilliant figures, even the church didn't treat them well.
Also the Armenian church didn't treat well many other neighbour nations.
I knew this from an Avar friend who told me a bit abot their history.
I am not Christian - so about Christian Apostolic norms in difference to other christian churches I do not know much - I know that tey had a dispute on Who consider God and the church splitted like that - but I am not well informed on christian topics, that I can tell from the begining.
Generally it is said that Armenian, Udin, Syrian and Coptic churchis are similar - but I have no further informations.
About Qadyrov - surely his rule is not good, I heard some aspects - but even Masxadov as a person I respected was not able to establish a good rule. At least the father of Qadyrov was a man of faith and not militar like many (Masxadov, Dudaev), militars have good qualities(and they both had), but they lost I tink some important moments.
Hopefully will come the day that Chechens will live in complete peace and will unite with their brothers Ingush and Bazbuch to form again at least one country and not to be splitted.
The relation between Armenians and Georgians is a difficult question.
My family are for example Armenians from Georgia(there is a region that is now part of georgia were Armenians live(like South Ossetia), its name is Javakhq(in Armenian) or Javakheti(in Georgian).
There are many Armenians in Georgia and they may be very different- the Armenians of Tiflis are quiet integrated in Georgian live(for instance the Georgian presiden Sahakashvili, whom I dislike a lot, is Armenian descendent from his fathers side, infact there are not many Sahakashvilis in Georgia).
What to say, we are no enemies with Georgia but unfortunately for the politics of Georgia we are politically seen no friends.
However simple people are different- mainly simple Georgians and Armenians befriend quiet quickly(the same for other Caucasians).
the Javakhq region in Georgia is asking for an Autonomous status, but since Sahakashvili came to power his "KGB" arrested many Armenians, some georgian policemen of Armenian origin in Javakhq were killed under misterious conditions.
But at least Javakhq remaind still a calm part , because Armenia even doen't care about our people there. Now the situation calmed a bit. Politically we are completely oposit, as Armenia has best relations with Russia and Iran , Georgia looks more for NATO integration. But thats all politics....
From my part I can say that Armenians and Ossetians as we are culturaly related a bit - are mor close(we are both not Caucasian as our culture is related to Indoeuropean culture). But even with Caucasians we have best relations.
However to summarize I think the relations are not bad, last mnth in television even started one Georgian-Armenian show of cultural ties(i do not like it so much for the pop culture they show, but it shows at least the interest of one to the other).
About the CAucasian theme I have to reflect how to make it in a way coherent to this forum - as it should be first of all interesting for Pashtun people - so it should or focus cultural parallels or developments. Let me think how to arrange it as it should be a theme of interest for the people here.

                I thank You too !

The US does not owe anything to Saudi's or do they own any American banks. All that is happening is the US pupms oil out of Saudi, gives dollars to the Saudis for that oil. The Saudis give those same Dollars back to the US to invest in US infrastructure while their own Arab and Muslim land stays undeveloped.

Even if the US economy collapses, the rest of the world would be worst off than the US. The US has built a system were the world depends on it more than itself depending on the world. The world including the Saudis will do everything it can to prevent the US economy from collapsing.
