Iodized Salt Factory Starts Production In Mazar-i-Sharif

Monday, September 26, 2011 Balkh (BIA) The first iodized salt factory started production in Park Sanati (Industrials Parks) of Mazar-i-Sharif city.
The first iodized salt factory started production in Park Sanati (Industrials Parks) of Mazar-i-Sharif city. Engineer Mahfozullah Fakor, responsible of the factory said to BIA, the factory at the cost of more than 4 million dollars started its production. This factory produces daily 480 tons of Iodized Salt and more than half of it will export to abroad, said the source. According to him, work opportunities have been provided for 200 people in this factory and with increasing the production of the factory, the number of workers will be reached to thousands people. A function was held for this purpose, Abdul Zahir Wahdat deputy governor of Balkh called the mentioned factory an important step in promotion of economic in the country and encouraged traders to asset on such factories.
