And hwo are these so called rock bands gonna speak against the war?
i have music, from meditation style, turkish belly dance, african, reggae, rap, funk, jazz, blues etc, to rage against the machine and limp bizkit. there is room for all kinds of music.
rock'n'roll, is a bit out of date, for my tastes, but some obviously still enjoy it.
young people will always want to taste new things. you should know that, from experience. they can make up their own minds, just as we have done, but you aint gonna hold back the tide.

So what is satanic about this music? Is it just this particular band that supports satanic lyrics? or rock-and-roll in general?

Secondly, rock and roll is not new to Kabul. Just check out the music from the 70's and 80's.

And i think this article, if i am not mistaken, is about Kabul Dreams. Who is a new band that has performed in Turkey, Uzbekistan, India, and Pakistan and other countries. They are not that hard metal kind, more like Indie i guess...personally i am not much of a fan of rock and roll nor concerts.

Some people can be complete wasters. Honestly guys, get your acts together.

Afghans listened/sang Music/Songs way before Islam ever came about, both Pre-Islamically and at present.

Nothing wrong with Music, and I dont like Bashing other Pashtuns who like to sing and dance, Music brings happiness and smiles, the same way, it makes Bedion Arabs feel good hitting a drum and dancing with a camel.

Dear Al Hanif, Music is just as part of Pashtun tradition, you ever heard of a Rabab?

I guess people just dont understand the idea of moving on and progressing.
