Into Kandahar, Yesterday and Tomorrow

Kandahar has been the main crucible of power in Afghanistan since the mid-18th century

And continues to be...even the American soldiers know this. Thats why they're being jerks and invading that city in particular. And, nearly all the deaths I see of soliders come OUT of attacks in Kandahar.

In a country of perhaps 30 million people, Kandahar’s importance goes beyond numbers.

For those who don't understand..we can use USA or Canada as an example.

In Canada, our capital is Ottawa. But, it is not the biggest, richest, most populated city. Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver - they're all bigger and better - BUT they're not where Canadians originated from (aka the natives...since ottawa was named from the natives and it was their land first)
