    US drone crashes in Pakistan

PressTV - US drone crashes in Pakistan

An unmanned US drone has gone down in northwestern Pakistan, according to statements by the country's security officials.

The American drone went down near the village of Zangara in South Waziristan on Sunday, AFP reported.

An intelligence officer in Peshawar, the main town in Pakistan's northwest, said the drone apparently crashed due to technical faults. However, Taliban militants claimed that they shot down the aircraft.

The US uses drones to launch airstrikes inside Pakistan's tribal belt.

Relations between Islamabad and Washington have soured over the unauthorized attacks. Pakistan insists that the airstrikes violate its sovereignty.

Washington claims the drone strikes target militants, although casualty figures indicate that the aerial bombings have led to the loss of hundreds of Pakistani civilians.

An unauthorized US drone has gone down in northwestern Pakistan, making it the second pilot-less plane to be shot down in one month.

The American drone went down near the village of Zangara in South Waziristan on Sunday, AFP reported.

An intelligence officer in Peshawar, the main town in Pakistan's northwest, said the drone apparently crashed due to technical problems. However, Taliban militants claimed that they shot down the aircraft.

Meanwhile reports say militants have attacked Pakistani troops searching for the plane's wreckage in the area. The US uses unmanned drones to launch airstrikes inside Pakistan's tribal belt.

The United Nations has condemned the strikes as a blatant violation of international laws.

Philip Alston, UN special envoy on extrajudicial killings, said in a report in late October 2010 that the attacks undermine the rules designed to protect the right of life.

Alston also expressed his fears that the drone attacks by the US Central Intelligence Agency would develop a "play station" mentality.

drone attacks are criminal acts by a criminal country, i am amazed at so few people who speak against it, There should be massive protests against these attacks who kill mostly innocent people and 1-2 terrorists

^because they are slaves, and have a slave mentality. Zaradri is from a family that served/serves the British Raj.

Imran Khan said he will end all subservience to the US in their war against Afghanistan, end the supply routes, and stop the drone attacks.

He has a credible record, and has done what he has said he will do.

Its not about zardari or any other politician lol.
Its all about army and ISI.
They can do what they like. They are the real responsible for any good or bad act in Pakistan. They are slaves controlled by amrica and bartania
