PressTV - 3 NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan
UPDATE
The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) says three US-led NATO soldiers have been killed in an attack in eastern Afghanistan.
The ISAF service members died in an attack on Friday, the Western coalition stated without giving any further details, AFP reported.
The latest incident brings the death toll for coalition military personnel to 428 in 2011, according to icasualties.org.
However, 2010 remains the deadliest year for foreign military casualties with a total death toll of 711. The figure eclipsed the previous record of 521, set in 2009.
Hundreds of civilians have also been killed in US-led airstrikes and ground operations in various parts of Afghanistan over the past few months, with Afghans growing increasingly outraged over the seemingly endless number of deadly assaults.
