America'a Militias Armed & Ready - YouTube
One of the militia men at 3.27 raised a very valid point when he said what if the federal government goes bankrupt stops paying cheques to millions of welfare recipients, what will all those people do?
This when you bear in mind that earlier this year there was talk of the federal government going bankrupt and temporarily shutting down federal government departments, and also Admiral Mullen suggesting the US may not be able to pay its soldiers:

Also in the video at 7.30 was the Republican (the video is from around 17 months back, even before there was talk of the US government defaulting and having its rating downgraded) who had in the past spoken about buying a gun to hunt Obama. A comment which no politician would have ever made of any previous comment as it would have been regarded unacceptable and not insulting the office of the president of the United States and commander in chief.
The following video is about another group of Idaho extremists who wanted to murder American policemen, then at the subsequent funeral plant bombs to kill more American policemen.
Christian Militia - Right Wing Extremists On The Rise - YouTube
From 1.54-2.29 To paraphrase the speaker:
There was the right wing killer who killed Dr Tiller, an abortion provider.
There was the right wing killer who went in to a holocaust museum and kille a guard.
There was a right wing guy in Pittsburgh that killed the police.
There's a case in Florida, a case in Maine.
The list goes on and on.
There's that guy who ran a plane into an IRS building (America's tax agency).
End of paraphrasing.
American Resistance Movement - YouTube
"American Resistance Movement", with talk of the federal government defaulting, even hypothetical suggestions of lots of militarily trained men i.e. "US soldiers" not being paid and thus returning back to society angry, but with military training there may be a further increase in right-wing extremist views.
White Power USA: The Rise of Right-Wing Militia in America DN 1/11/2010 (2/4) - YouTube
Racist militas on the rise since the election of Obama, fuelled by unemployment which seems will only continue to grow mentions the federal report calling right wing milita's the greatest "domestic terrorism" threat to America.
The video also mentions former America soldier Timothy McVeigh at 1.27 mins.

McVeigh was convicted of blowing up a government building in Oklahama.

Oklahama bombing.

Children murdered by McVeigh in the Oklahama bombing in 1995.
The video then at 1.44 speaks of Kody Brittingham, an ex-US marine who was arrested for armed robberies, but was found wanting to murder Barack Obama, with white supremacist literature. At their peak, death threats to Obama averaged 30 a day. (2.03 mins)

Kody Brittingham, ex-US marine who spoke of murdering Barack Obama.

A mugshot of Jared Loughner, who not a militia man was anti-American government. His final message on his myspace page was:
"Goodbye friends. Please don't be mad at me. The literacy rate is below 5%. I haven't talked to one person who is literate. I want to make it out alive. The longest war in the history of the United States. Goodbye. I'm saddened with the current currency and job employment. I had a bully at school. Thank you. P.S. --plead the fifth!""
At 2.20 the video shows a moving and disturbing audio clip of a woman phoning the police, with gunshot in the background, as right wing extremists murdered a Latino man and his 9 year old daughter.

Raul Flores and daughter Briscenia murdered by American right-wing terrorists.

Shawna Forde, the murderer of Raul Flores and his 9 year old daughter. Forde was a member of an anti-immigration militia.

Jason Bush who along with Forde was involved in the murder.
The video then speaks about the "Tea Party Movement", and in 5.28 shows a Tea Party member with the Confederate flag, the flag of the southern states who fought to keep black people as slaves.

At 5.34 it shows a "Tea party" member holding a degrading placard of a virtually naked Barack Obama in African tribal clothing. The same image is shown here below:

A "Tea party" member with a poster calling American president Barack Obama, an "African".

A member of the controversial "Tea Party" movement calling for Obama to go "back" to Kenya, despite being born, raised, studying, working and paying taxes in the USA.
At 5.41 the "Tea Party" member states in chilling language "I think the guy (Obama) is a racist, I mean he's talking about how he's going to bring this country together. If he's going to get us any more together we're going to kill each other".

A "Tea party" member with an implicit threat.
The last part of the video ends with a right-wing conservative American racist speaking of a lot of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan "who want something done before it's too late."
The American right, which the controversial "Tea Party" is part of, reacted furiously to a federal report which stated that extremist militias posed the greatest threat to America's domestic security. Elements of both the ideologies of America's extremist militias and the "Tea Party" overlap, though there is no direct connection between the two yet.
Though as highlighted in one of the videos earlier, a Republican candidate for the governorship of Obama who intimated at killing Obama endorses militias.
The "Tea Party" is seen as relatively mainstream, but the dangerous nature of the radical right was highlighted a few months earlier when another right-wing extremist in Norway murdered innocent civilians merely for belonging to a centre-left party.

Anders Brevik, who like the "Tea Party" had a rabid hatred of the political left as well as sharing other similiarities in ideology.
With the American economy undergoing permanent change soon, bankruptcy, with 48.5 million Americans using "food stamps" (15% of the population: Food stamp use rises to record 45.8 million - Aug. 4, 2011), unemployment, foreclosures, with the collapse of other western economies such as Greece, nation wide riots in the traditionally stable UK, we may unfortunately see a rise in Timothy McVeigh, Kody Brittingham, "Tea Party", Anders Brevik type individuals and the continued increase in support for militias.
However I think that the future is not catastrophic and the US will be stable and able to handle these crises and extremists, but US power will definitely decline to the point it will no longer be the world's sole superpower and able to invade foreign countries illegally e.g. Iraq.

The US government may not pay wages to its soldiers if the country defaults on its debt, says Admiral Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Mullen said that many troops are living paycheck to paycheck, adding that “if paychecks were to stop, it would have a devastating impact.”
