The Head of Libyan rebel government Mustafa Abdul Jalil has confirmed the arrest of Seif Al Islam, Libyan leader Muammar Al Qathafi's second son. Jalil said that Seif is now in a secure location.

Speaking live to Al-jazeera, Abdul Jalil said the council was informed that Seif was arrested by the rebels in Tripoli and now he is in secure hands.

Commander of Gaddafi Personal Guard Defects to Rebels

A report from Tripoli says that General Barrani Ishkal, Libyan leader Muammar Al Qathafi’s cousin, has defected to the rebels.

Meanwhile, Libyan rebels fighting to oust Al Qathafi from power after 41 years at the helm, have already entered the Green Square in the centre of Tripoli indicating that the end of the regime is svery close

Ishkal is the commander of Imhemed Maghrief brigade that is responsible for the protection of Muammar Al Qathafi.

The news led to rumours that AL Qathafi himself might have been arrested.

the oil hungry westreners are celebrating the fall of the great qadafi.
So far china and india ,s growing influence in africa was never liked by the selfish west.They are using weapons in lybia to steal the oil and other natural sources.
It is to compete with the rising global power such as china and inida.
It is easy to use force again muslim country cus no one is there to oppose.

Shame on them for accepting NATO, to bomb them for 6 months, receive money and weapons. I also noticed that a lot of these rebels are from the west as well.

I won't be surprised if their are American and British special forces helping these losers out.

i've read some good things about gaddafi but it is obvious that not everyone wanted to be under his control. why did he not try to negotiate with his people and attack and kill them instead? because he didn't try negotiating, the us and nato uses the excuse to intervene, on humanitarian grounds. so it is gaddafis fault that they are involved. i saw footage of libyans crying out for the west to help them.

saif ul islam qazafi is safe and well.the rebels are losing.He is not arested.It was a propaganda by the westren back rebels.Another son of qazafi muhammad also escaped from the terrorists.
