    Pajhwok Afghan News.

Twenty passengers died and 24 others were injured, Ayubi said.
The incident occurred because of the bus driver's fast and reckless driving,
said provincial traffic department head Mohammadullah, adding that the
department had sent a team to the scene to investigate and a team of
doctors to provide first aid to the victims.

Up to 24 wounded were taken to Mirwais Hospital, where many of the

In Afghanistan 99% of drivers can be called 'wreckless' by Western standards. No proper highway code is enforced there.

My village lies on this same road. You would always hear of accidents and car crashes occuring.

                Nangarhar

Traffic accidents had increased in the eastern province of Nangarhar mostly caused
from carelessness of drivers, using drugs during driving and unfamiliarity with driving
regulation, said provincial public health director.

Head of provincial public health director, Saiful Rahman Ibrahimkhel told Wakht News
Agency that traffic accident had increased from 25 to 35 compared to the last years
                in the province.

But rejecting the claims, the provincial traffic director, Ghulam Dastgeer told Wakht
News Agency that traffic mishap had been considerably decreased in the province.

He said the traffic department in cooperation with the related organs was working on
a plan in order to arrest drivers with no licenses and reduce traffic incident in the
                province.

Large number of illegal drivers had been increased recently in the province, many of
                them inflicting casualties.
