On Tuesday night against the Cincinnati Reds, the Nationals will wear cap emblazoned with the Navy SEALs logo to honor the 22 SEALs killed alongside eight other U.S. servicemen and eight Afghans in the Aug. 6 helicopter attack in Afghanistan. Tuesday night will be the Nationals’ first game in Washington since the attack took place.
The Nationals have used caps to honor the victims of other tragedies, including when they wore a hodgepodge of caps with the Virginia Tech logo following the April 16, 2007 massacre on campus. . . .

In a text message, Nationals left-hander John Lannan said he still did not know the extent to which he hurt his left knee while making a diving play Saturday night against the Phillies. On Sunday, Lannan said he “tweaked” his knee and had trouble pushing off the mound pitching to batters following his dive. Lannan has felt mild tendinitis in his knees in the past, but had eliminated the issue this prior to Saturday night.
Lannan will receive two extra days to rest his knee because of Sunday’s rainout and today’s off day. Lannan is 8-8 this season with a 3.53 ERA.

So that picture of John lannan crying. Is it for the Seals or his knee getting hurt. The crying looks real so it must be for his knee.
