It is the duty of Afghans to bring peace to Afghanistan whether it be Taliban or any other Afghan resistance group. Afghan is unstable as long as there is US war being waged against the people

Afghanistan needs to develop very specific industries and it's energy sector. Intrestingly Afghanistan now has a small refinery and it makes sence to construct a small Chemical complex near this refinery. With a view to producing fertilizers, pesticides, industrial Chemicals etc.

"Kam Oil is the first Afghan refinery, completed in 2010 and located in Hairaton City of Afghanistan with production capacity of over 500 metric tons of high quality finished energy products such as Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene and Jet Fuel per day."

In order to support mining Afghanistan will need to develop it's rail infrastructure. Which is why the Afghan government is seemingly forming a railway construction commission with technical cooperation provided by European commission. However the sectors to invest in are the utilities, especially electricity and heating (domestic gas).

France, G8 supporting Afghan project to build railroads

PARIS, July 5 (KUNA) -- France, as current President of the G8, said Tuesday it was supporting an Afghan project to construct a rail network, that would provide internal links but also hook up with other networks outside the country.

Officials here said that they had held talks Monday with Afghani government officials, including Infrastructure and Mining Minister Wahidullah Shahrani, and that about 20 nations from the G8 and the region around Afghanistan had also participated in the talks.

The "Intergovernmental Talks" were co-chaired by Shahrani and French Transport Minister Thierry Mariani. After the talks, it was agreed that Afghanistan should establish a "National Rail Authority" to develop domestic train line and their connection with the country's neighbours.

The Transport Ministry said that France was fully behind this project, which will take decades to complete.

The French Foreign Ministry said that it "welcomed this important announcement" by Afghanistan and "the French Presidency of the G8 is working to promote regional cooperation in the area".

thats not true, you are just making this..............

if that was the case than even americans are starving.

the sanctions against taliban was right in the time that the country was secured and institutions in place.

Afghanistan was doing export import with a couple of countries ,one of them being pakistan and another bangladesh.

when there was no sanctions people would have had a better economic situation.

so are you saying just cuz the economy wasnt good enough the sanctions had no effect?

The people have always been poor in Afghanistan. The revolution was caused by Political instability in Kabul. The King had been dethroned and leadership legitimacy was questioned by those that wanted to fill the vacuum.

People like you are extremely naive. Population control is very difficult in poor countries. People are not going to follow your advise just because you wear a suit and tie by telling them to use the "pakarnai" or use the pill. You have to make it economically feasible for them. In poor countries children are considered assets especially males because males are considered bread winners. The more males you have the more bread they can bring home. So in this scenario it is economical to have children.
In developed countries, it is the opposite. Children are an economical liability. In developed countries, children are a burden to opportunities that the developed country provides. Hence you have smaller and smaller families. when the economy have a deficit of a work force, it is simply imported from poor countries who have people to spare.

India and China have been experiencing large amounts of abortions of females. In a couple of decades there will be a large male population and a small female population which will drastically decrease the population of those two countries.

Afghanistan needs to reach to a population of 50 million at least, that can be easilly achived by merging with Pukhtunkhwa but by that time we need 65 million.

Afghanistan can never become economically self sufficient without having access to the Indian ocean. historically Afghanistan have always depended on foreign aid ever since Afghans were blocked from the indian ocean. The Brits used to provide foreign aid, then the soviets, and now America.

what economy? exporting rugs is not exactly an economy. hell, our main cities werent even connected by paved roads until past the mid 20th century.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Nope, the economy was soviet aid. I have already said that it is impossible for Afghanistan to become economical self sufficient without access to the Indian ocean. No Afghan Government can nor will Accept the Durand line because of this point. Either Afghanistan has to become a confederation with Pakistan or Pakistan has to go. The British were very clever in creating Pakistan to protect its hegemony over the region.

heres a good book that basically explains Afghanistan as an economically feasible impossibility.

                            what was afghanistan exporting?

do u know what the sanctions were against? when u have sanction articles like taliban assets being frozen outside of afghanistan it doesnt really make a difference when talibs dont have assets outside of the country.

can u show me how the pre and post sanctioned afghanistans economy differed?

soviet aid being the afghan economy is sad. it wasn't even a functioning economy because the soviets, prior to the invasion, would take our money from the little production there was and pay themselves off the fake debts they put on afghanistan.

all i am saying here, people, is u cant fix something if u never admit it was broken in the first place. afghanistan has never had a functioning economy in the history of its time as a nation state. even today our exports are a pathetic few hundred million dollars.

Yes and even today, American Aid and other foreign aid and poppy production is about 95% of the economy.
