PressTV - US is real enemy of Pakistan: Leader

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei (R) and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari held a meeting in Tehran on July 16.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the United States is the real enemy of the national unity of Pakistan.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a meeting with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari in Tehran on Saturday.

The Leader stated that the West, and particularly the United States, is the main adversary of the Pakistani people.

Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the religious and cultural affinities shared by Iran and Pakistan and lauded the Pakistani people's long history of resistance.

The Leader also expressed hope that God would help the Pakistani nation rid themselves of their enemies as soon as possible.

The Pakistani president called for the expansion of relations between Tehran and Islamabad.

Earlier in the day, Zardari held a meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, where the two called for the strengthening of bilateral ties in all spheres, especially in the economic and energy sectors.

Zardari also proposed that financial transactions between Iran and Pakistan be conducted in the two countries' currencies rather than the US dollar, saying this would help decrease smuggling and improve trade ties.

While we all are aware that Pakistan as a state are sold-outs, it is interesting to note this rhetoric by Khamanei.

He has told Hamid Karzai the same thing.

It is very important to note the regional opposition to the US.

yeah, I know but Iran is basically telling Zardari stop serving the US, especially in regard to Afghanistan.

GOE, I understand that Iran, Pakistan, and others do not have Afghans interests at hand, but for now we must see that the regional unity against US intervention is a very good sign.

China, Russia, and the rest of the SCO have stated that they will not tolerate US interference in the region.

i dont think you understand the depth of this all.

let me make it a little clear

-iran enemy of afghans and muslims
-Pakistan enemy of Afghans and muslims
-Pakistan agent of foreign invaders of Afghanistan
-Iran agent of foreign invaders in Afghanistan

the only difference is Iran has some of their parsparast agents in Afghanistan.

another thing is that Afghanistan is not Eid ka bakri that everyone have the right to interfere in their business.

sunni peopel in iran are oppressed by the foreign shia invaders and in pakistan the minority shia and seculers rule over the majority sunni muslims and massacre as we speak.

          did you get the picture.

yes, we all know this, but let me explain something. While they both assisted in the invasion of Afghanistan, and Pakistan continues to do so with supply routes, the region as a whole (other countries besides Iran and Pak) are opposed to the US war for their own reasons. Obviously, the do not care for Afghans otherwise they would have never assisted in the invasion.

However, now the Afghans have the advantage in that their opposition to the US is backed by nearly all regional countries ( China, Russia, etc...for their own interests), so this is good in terms of the inevitable Afghan freedom from this failed foreign war of aggression.

              GOE,

also keep in mind that the US wants Pakistan to do a full scale operation against Pashtuns from one side while they attack from other side of the line.

The fact that Iran, and other regional nations are expressing this anti-US rhetoric means that it will be very difficult for Pakistan to do this.

Had Pakistan had the major support of the people, they would have already gone and had an operation against Pashtuns.

Keep in mind that it is in all the regional countries interest that the US leaves Afghanistan. Obv, they do not care for Afghan people. However, we can take this as good news for now.

The pressure is against Pakistan to continue serving America , and selling Muslim/Pashtun blood.
