More than 100 civilians have died in Afghanistan. The US has killed the most Afghans this year. No Afghan has to support it. No Afghan is being put in a tight situation. Karzai can very well tomorrow tell the US to leave, and "take unilateral action" as he promised before. He should think very hard now. Cooperation with the foreigners is not in his interest. They are the cause of all the deaths and suffering in Afghanistan. Afghans fight because the foreigners are there. If he wants a place in Afghanistan's future, the way forward is very clear.
This man was an enabler. One does not need to have sympathy for him.Comment
