At least one US-led foreign soldier has been killed in the latest spate of violence in the troubled southern Afghanistan.
According to the independent website iCasualties.org, at least 282 US-led foreign soldiers have lost their lives in war-torn Afghanistan so far this year.
Over 2,557 foreign troops have been killed since the US-led war began in the Asian country a decade ago.
As the US-led forces casualties continue to rise in Afghanistan, public opinion in the United States and other Western countries is increasingly turning against the Afghan war.
The security situation has steadily deteriorated across Afghanistan over the past few years despite the presence of at least 150,000 US-led foreign troops in the country.
