ANP leader shot dead in Swat

A leader of Pakistan's Awami National Party (ANP) was gunned down on Saturday in Swat valley in the northwest tribal region, a media report said.
Militants stormed the house of ANP district president Muzaffar Ali Khan in Matta town, and shot him dead along with two of his associates, Dawn News reported.

The report said Khan had to leave his house on many occasions in the past on account of threats from militants.

The ANP's main area of electoral influence is in the Pashtun-dominated areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh provinces. Member of parliament Asfandyar Wali Khan is the current ANP president.

People say, ANP and army have done great job in swat but let me warn all those stupid people... every ANP leader has to pay, every army man has to pay for their crimes in swat.
People actually don't realise the reality. media and some others don't know what common man in swat thinks about army and ANP in swat.

hmmm I think those who have been illegally detained or whose nears and dears have been killed by the forces or disrespected. There could be many factors but the main point is people are not happy with army in real.
They have made big blunders like corruption, extra judicial killings, releasing people for big sums of money, disrespecting people, illegal and shameless activities and many others. The so called taliban paid for their atrocities now it is ANP's and army's turn. These two have to pay now.

Didn't ANP workers get killed before as well? If what you say may be the case then that is another problem for swat.

Are you a prophet of God? . They can be weak muslims, but you cant issue fatwas of being non-muslims for them.
