This video just says that if the federal government does not raise the ceiling to borrow or in this case print more money that it will default. The federal government will simply raise the debt ceiling. US dollar is the reserve currency, when ever fear of financial disaster hits the global markets, every one runs to the safety of the dollar, meaning everyone parks their money in the US because it is safe there.
