i wish the money spend on the poor people of afghanistan.
Road,health,schools and food etc.
So far kazrai and his gang of warlords still hungry and stealing the aid money from the poor people of afghanistan.
There was a time when afghanistan ruled over india but time has changed .
Any help for the poor people more then welcome.
Pakistan and afghanistan live on AID.
The tow top beggers and carrupt countries of the world.

We are lifting our poor out of the depths too, perhaps slowly than desired. And regarding the MNCs, I expected better from you. Having lived in India you'd know the amount of employment that these MNCs provide to our skilled and semi-skilled. Its a two-way street.

And seriously Faye, I understand your gripe. But it seems that the only reason you dislike and distrust India's Afghan aid is because India hasnt done a good job of using the money at home. Fair argument. But its been 10 years and no Afghan on the street seems to mind. They are happy with the roads, power-supply lines and other infrastructure. If you're just sounding a warning because you smell a rat, perhaps you need to re-evaluate whats important for Afghanistan.

And India could have joined the coalition. We could have sent in forces to support NATO. But we didnt. We are happy not to choose sides and just help wherever we can. If this helps us generate goodwill amongst the Afghans and contain Pakistan at the same time, all the better.

I am taking a trip to India hopefully before towards the end of summer and hopefully the wheather will be nice as well around that tim. I am definitely going to Goa or the Maldives, perhaps can take member(s) of the family too.

khalsa, if you read what i said before, i don't begrudge afghanistan the assistance but yes, i do dispprove of how india has been spending some of it's money when i know indians and the sad and hard lives some of them have to live.
it is my favourite country in the world so i have a very soft spot for it and i am concerned that the vampire multinationals and the american govt will use india.
your government has allowed the pharmaceuticl companies to experiment on indians with their new drugs without restrictions and genetically modified crops were planted throughout india by monsanto, even though not approved by the government. did they have to pay this crime? not that i have heard, so far.
if india is helping afghanistan for a good purpose then it is good but i wish they would do more for their own also.

So if your own family is hungry and you borrow money from your neighbor to feed your family and then you give it away to your other neighbor who is in need, does it make sense?

Personally I believe India is doing a far better job than Pakistan in Afghanistan and Pakistan should play its role positively by completely cutting off its ties with Taliban and all of the destructive forces but still if India has more poverty than Africa and India is giving all of this money away to some other country then its INJUSTICE TO THOSE INDIANS.

The only people who will oppose India giving aid to Afghanistan will be those Pro-Paki lobby. The only thing Pakistan has done for Afghanistan is destroy it. People on this forum, always complain about America's "Invasion" America's "Crusade" and America's "War of Terror" but what they fail to mention is, right from the start America has no interest in supporting any groups in Afghanistan, yes the plan was made to lure the Soviets into Afghanistan, everybody knows this, but Pakistan invited the Americans into the region.

In other words, Pakistan is the one responsible for the mess. Of course Pakistan was involved in nearly every uprising in Afghanistan before and during the 70's. The Panjshir Uprising was led by Pakistan with their Farsiban supporters. That Failed.

You see guys, these Anti-War Activists, the Left wingers never mention the role played by Pakistan, they hide Pakistans devious role through tactics such as "Anti-Americanism" "Political Correctness" and the best of them all "Racism".

Please grap yourselves some books, and read about the history of that conflict.

and to end note, I would like to mention why do people insult the Afghanistan government at the time for inviting the Russians/Soviets to assist them against a Arab/Punjabi/Warlord/ISI Sponsored Uprising while on the other hand, nobody mentions the Pakistani invitation of America and CIA to turn Afghanistan into a Hell hole.

Go ask yourself, why did those who promised you freedom, ran away once the Soviets fled? while they left your people to the vultures(pakistan)

You could be right. I can poke a hole into that " more poor than Africa theory as well", but I will assume for now that its correct.

Taking your example, lets assume we have a second neighbor (a common one). Now this neighbor happens to be a loony, the neighborhood thug and periodically threatens or even harms my own family. And my help to the first neighbor mitigates the risk of having the loony neighbor harm my family. I would rather bide my time, have my family grow up half hungry and with a decent chance of survival rather than have a loony neighbor and can attack and kill my children.
