      there is no honor killing here... if u think this is honor killing, then u don't know what honor killing is.

      this girl is not even old enough to qualify for honor killing (that didn't sound right) but i am sure u know what i mean

      that girl is so cute... how could he? tobah!... really sad!

        Take this article for example:40 percent in 2005 support Honor killings in Turkey.

        http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4357158.stm

        Mr Edge, in Pashtun society, there have been cases of women being killed, that is mainly due to arrogance and Clerics demonising females as "evil pets".

        In Pashtun society, a woman hardly has any say, this is due to civil war and the influence of Clerics. Compare 1970's Afghanistan with todays,and you will know what I mean.

        Education is the key here, if our people are educated of the importance of respecting our female Pashtun sisters instead of pushing them onto one side, then we will start to see progress.

        This is Tribal culture where women are classed as slaves is very similar to the Bedione Arabs. I think its time for us to promote gender equality instead of gender segration because a bunch of guys are so weak that they fear seeing a strong Pakhtana.

        That's not true at all . you keep trying to idolize Pashtun society as some sort of imitation of Western society where moral crimes are deemed acceptable and would not warrant a lethal response.

        I'll give you noted historical examples of Pashtun honor killing

        In Kabul during the first Anglo Afghan War, many Tajik Kabuli women were known to have left their Tajik Husbands and spend time in the British Garrisons (bear in mind this isn't an attempt to be racist, this is just relaying facts). When Wazir Akbar Khan retook Kabul, he had all the Kabuli women who were known for doing such slaughtered.

        Even Ghani Khan wrote;

        Alexander and his conquering army When the Pathan is a child his mother tells him, ‘the coward dies but
        his shrieks live long after,” and so learns not to shriek. He is shown dozens of things
        dearer than life so that he will not mind either dying or killing. He is forbidden colourful
        clothes or exotic music, for they weaken the arm and soften the eye. He is taught to
        look at the hawk and forget the nightingale. He is asked kill his beloved to save the
        soul of her children
        . It is a perpetual surrender-an eternal giving up of man to man and
        to their wise follies.

        Why would clerics advocate honor killing? This is contrary to Shari'ah Law. Which advocates witnesses and due process can only be applied to married individuals before any capital penalty can be administered

        You're comparing the 1970's; a time when Afghanistan was mainly a Soviet Sock Puppet; as a reflection of Pashtuns, EVEN then what you're saying only applied to Kabul women, who are mainly Tajik.

        Look up the Laws of Pashtunwali. It's all there
        Pashtunwali :: Khyber.ORG

        You're looking at things from the Lense of Non-Pashtun White Europeans; they always say silly things like they "fear strong independent" women as some sort of psychological tactic to guilt trip males into softening up, but it's completely illogical. I think Tribal Pashtuns behave this way, because they have harsh standards, if they feared women becoming strong, they would be incapable of doing this. If people were afraid of something they usually run away from it not over power it.

          If anyone thinks Honor killing has anything to do with Islam is a fool. Honor killing has been around in many societies long before Islam came to the region. It is Islam that preaches against honor killing. It was Islam that strengthened the status of women.

              I have never in my life seen a bunch of hypocrites such as you guys. If a crime involves a supposedly Muslim father an daughter then it's surely a case if honor killing. What is wrong with you people!?

                  that is a very goodwestion skimface. Tell me something..if a member--acutallya female member of your family waste commit adultry,would you kill her or congratulate her on her bravery?? I don't know but from the way you people are looking down at the Turkish at the moment suggests that the thought of such an act taking place amongst Pashtuns are rare or something which it clearly isn't. The honor killing of course.
                  You are a hypocrite either way. If you kill her, you are a hypocrite for having spoken in vain of the Turkish who do it and if you don't then you are a hypocrite for being a beghairat pretending otherwise.

                    IN theory I feel it's ok to purge society of even another family's of their social misfits and deviants. My only problem is when it is one sided, when only one gender gets the penalty. The males involved should also be hunted down as they enabled the action.

                    I dont have anything against the Turkish, In fact I was one of the people who said these sorts of things exist and have existed amongst Pashtuns too.

                    In truth there's no such thing as honor killing; this is merely media theatrics

                    What exists is different societies tactics to weed out immorality and purge deviants amongst themselves. It will never end no matter how many outcries of injustice you or anyone else will make. Simply because Justice is not about gentleness, it's about maintaining the equilibrium of society.

                              and I thought Islam required 4 adult witnesses to the entire sexual act from start to finish by men who have never commited a major sin.... but then again... ghairath is more important than Islam!!!! who cares what Islam says!!!! we are better than Islam....

                              To me personally, any person who has commited a so called "honor" killing is the biggest bayghairath more of a shame than the women who chose her own husband..... but again its my own personal opinion!!!!
