    Australian dad Ramazan Acar kills daughter after Facebook threat



    (CBS) - Australian father Ramazan Acar wrote on his Facebook profile that he was "bout to kill ma kid" just moments before stabbing his 2-year-old daughter Yazmina to death, according to reports.

    According to Agence France-Presse, the 24-year-old man pleaded guilty in 2010 in a Melbourne court for murdering his daughter last November as "pay [back]" against the girl's mother, Rachelle D'Argent.
    Court documents obtained by the new agency Wednesday state that Acar picked up Yazmina at D'Argent's home and told the mother he was taking the girl to a local candy shop.
    He then stabbed the girl in the stomach and chest and left her in a wooded area to die.
    Later that day, Acar contacted D'Argent by text message, asking whether he should kill Yazmina by car crash or stab her.
    "How does it feel to not have your child when I did not have mine for three months?" Acar told her according to Australian news wire AAP.
    AFP reports that Acar is scheduled to face the Victorian Supreme Court later this month for further hearings. He is currently in custody.
    Acar reportedly told investigators that after killing his daughter he wanted to commit suicide but said he "did not have the balls."

      ^ don't judge someone based on what their name is. as a muslim, you should know better than that. secondly there are two pictures on top of that article of a two year old child. do you even know what honor killings are??

          many Muslims, including Pashtoons have killed their daughters, do you know what "tormakh" is; it's when a woman ruins their family's reputation, and they must make themselves "spin" again by killing her.

            LOL ok I've heard of some silly things, but this arbitrary dichotomy you place is ridiculous. if his name is Amazan, he's MOST likely a Muslim, at least 99% of the time. LOL

                  okay i don't know what is wrong with you people. honor killing as i know it, is when a member of the family brings shame on everybody else in the family and then one or more members of the family kill the victim to redeem their reputation by not accepting their actions.
                  so how does the insanity of a father who kills his two year old daughter to seek revenge from his wife become honor killing?? what type of shame did the two year old victim bring upon the family??
                  and why is everyone kicking themselves in the hind by saying he did what he did because he is probably a muslim?( he is turkish)

                    Im going to have to agree with Zahro on this one. There is no evidence this is honor killing. Some of you should reread the story. This sick man did it out of spite against the mother. He did it because the mother refused to have him see his daughter for three months and he told her how does it feel to not see your daughter again. This is a case of selfish parents using their kids against each other. Their own selfish needs trumps those of their kids needs.

                        Turks do have a problem with Honor Killings.

                        Take this article for example:40 percent in 2005 support Honor killings in Turkey.

                        Mr Edge, in Pashtun society, there have been cases of women being killed, that is mainly due to arrogance and Clerics demonising females as "evil pets".

                        In Pashtun society, a woman hardly has any say, this is due to civil war and the influence of Clerics. Compare 1970's Afghanistan with todays,and you will know what I mean.

                        Education is the key here, if our people are educated of the importance of respecting our female Pashtun sisters instead of pushing them onto one side, then we will start to see progress.

                        This is Tribal culture where women are classed as slaves is very similar to the Bedione Arabs. I think its time for us to promote gender equality instead of gender segration because a bunch of guys are so weak that they fear seeing a strong Pakhtana.

                            @Faye stick to topic please. I provided a documented piece of work to support my claim that there is a honor killing problem amongst Turks. Well, I am not speaking about Western women, I was referring to Pashtun women, I couldnt care less about African,Western,Chinese women, I have no interest in them to be fair, My concern is soley the Pashtun women.
