They can fake going to the moon? You don't think NASA has that capability? NASA is a pretty strong organization. They have an annual budget of ~$ 18billion. That's probably more than the entire world's space organizations combined. Nevertheless, enlighten me please.

There was a documentary on tv that showed all the "proofs" that the moon landing was faked...they used cinematographic techniques that were used by Stanly Kubrick in the film "Space Odyssey" to film the whole escapade.
Then there was some affirmation of this floating around...that it was staged but they did actually land ...but because of some radio or magnetic wave sheild, either from the sun or the earth, all the footages were destroyed so they had to recreate it in hollywood...and I watched that documentary ...it was really bizarre...because actual politicians came on camera and said "yes, it was faked"...Donal Rumsfeld I remember was one of them ...but at the end of the credits ...there was a 10 second caption on a black screen that read "this documentary is a fake ...it was made to just fool people and make them realize that despite all the evidence presented...it was all fake ...and they shouldn't believe it"...I wasn't surprised because this was on a Canadian Government Channel CBC's "the passionate eye". I saw this doc maybe 3 years ago...towards the end it said that whether it was faked or not would be exposed when Japan would send a rocket to fly around the moon...if they did actually land on the moon, then the flag that was planted by Armstrong would still be there ...along with other evidences...this was supposed to be in 2010... I never checked. Maybe I'll dig into it...

Glad you started it.
There are SO MANY contradictions about the moon landing.
Almost no one believes who has any sharp awareness these days.
Someone could go back and dig all that out.
But it was convincing to me when I read the case.
Even mainstream news articles have mentioned some of the doubts about
the moon landing.

I bet if we really go back in history, SO MUCH was faked, not just by America
but England and so many other countries, to save the national honor.

That's what this Osama 'death' is about.

So far they have just old pictures of him.
Are there pictures of him dead?
That could be faked easily too.

Islamic burial? Give me a break!
Just look at the pic posted yesterday by Kakargirl of the Afghan
killed while reciting the Quran -
the US authorities could care less about Islamic "custom" -

Also reveals what a shabby political system democracy is that people
lie like crazy to get into power and stay there.

I can't imagine a true Islamic govt pulling dirty tricks like this SEEMS to be,

Terrorist leader Osama bin Laden is now dead, but his remains will likely never be found because his body was buried at sea.
According to the Associated Press, "After the firefight that killed Osama bin Laden, the U.S. used 'multiple methods' to positively identify his remains, according to a senior Pentagon official who personally saw a photograph of the corpse.... two Obama administration officials said DNA evidence confirmed the death. The officials claimed the DNA evidence provides a match with 99.9 percent confidence."

Other methods were also employed to positively identify bin Laden, including facial recognition software.
The decision to bury the body at sea served several purposes. First, it demonstrated to the Muslim world that Islamic traditions were respected, even for the world's most wanted terrorist. According to Islamic tradition, deceased Muslims are to be only handled by Muslims and buried as soon as possible in a simple white sheet, which was reportedly done.
Second, the lack of a specific burial site thwarts efforts of those who would make bin Laden a martyr by robbing them of a place to build a shrine.
Grist for Conspiracy Theories
After bin Laden was positively identified, there was no real reason to keep his body, and plenty of good reasons to get rid of it. Still, the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks are well steeped in conspiracy theory, and bin Laden's death will just be more grist for the mill.
When Adolf Hitler died in April 1945, his body was burned according to his wishes, and the remains later buried (and re-buried) in several locations. Though there was clear evidence from multiple sources that Hitler died, conspiracy theories surfaced claiming that Hitler survived WWII.

Several years ago I spoke with a woman who claimed to be psychic, and I asked her why, with thousands of psychics and psychic detectives in America (and tens of thousands around the world), none had been able to locate bin Laden or tell the military where he was. How did she explain the obvious failure of psychic powers to locate this mass murderer after nearly a decade? Surely at least one psychic could have provided accurate, valid information to help bring justice to families and keep him from killing again.
She insisted that psychics employed by the military had probably located bin Laden years earlier, but that his death was being kept a secret for political reasons. I replied that it seemed very unlikely that the White House would have any reason to hide the fact that bin Laden was dead, but it gave interesting insight into conspiracy theories.

Even if bin Laden's body had been preserved and displayed for some reason, it would not have satisfied the conspiracy theorists, who could have simply claimed that the Pentagon hired a film special effects team to create a very realistic plastic or wax dummy of bin Laden -- and that the real bin Laden was still alive, or died in 2001 of kidney failure, or is a restauranteur in the Bronx.

allowed every jouralist under the sun access to him

When ever someone is hidden like this - especially a prize catch -
they mysteriously are kept from the public.

Obviously the fraud would be figured out.
So they had to "kill" him.

Now if he is alive somewhere and tries to make a tape saying he's alive
the media will never publish that, because the story line has been
given from above.

It's very clear that things don't add up even the former head of ISI thinks this is a rather shady announcement (not that I trust Hamid Gul) but his reasoning is logical.

This could be a huge spin to accomplish a handful of objectives including but not limited to:

1. Seek to legitimise military action in Pakistan. Part of plan to denuclearize Pakistani establishment.

2. Boost morale of US/NATO troops in the current fighting season in Afghanistan.

3. Create a suitable political environment to pull out of Afghanistan without losing face.

4. By declaring Alqaida's leader dead, US might be seeking to shake the rank and file Alqaida. There is nothing worse than having doubts about command structure as for as military operations are concerned. Not saying that Osama has first hand involvement in day to day military operations but such an announcement has the potential to get some elements of the network to make a wrong move therefore exposing its weaknesses.

Osama being dead or alive makes no difference to Al Qaida. I might have a negative impact on its finances and short term operation but that is exactly as far as it goes.

The staunch Islamists will celebrate Osama's death and most of the rank and file will try to emulate him. More significantly Osama's followers know one thing pretty clearly - the death of Mohammad PBUH didn't stop Islamic jihad/ideology/etc, the death of Osama wont.

Islam will exist so will those who oppose it, get used to it.

Thanks for the video - I like Hamid Gul fairly well, so I am looking forward
