Kabul suicide car bombing 'kills at least seven'

The area has been cordoned off by Nato forces and Afghan police

At least seven people have been killed and 29 injured in a suicide car bomb attack targeting a Nato convoy in the Afghan capital, Kabul, police say. The attack took place at the Darulaman crossroads, close to the parliament and other government buildings.
The fatalities were Afghan civilians. There was no immediate word on whether any foreign troops were killed or hurt.
Despite tight security in Kabul, the city has seen some high-profile attacks by Taliban militants in recent months.
The suicide bomber is reported to have been driving a car laden with explosives.
An Isaf (Nato-led) convoy was caught up in the attack in the west of the city, according to the Afghan interior ministry.
The area has been cordoned off by Nato forces and Afghan police, and the injured have been taken to hospital. An Isaf spokesman said an investigation was under way.
    Checkpoints
The BBC's Mark Dummett in Kabul says that, as is often the case in such attacks, Afghan civilians seem to have borne the brunt of the explosion.
Our correspondent says the police have set up extra checkpoints throughout the city this year, following a series of attacks by gunmen and bombers on government offices and hotels.
But it is impossible to stop and search every car that enters the city, so these attacks seem certain to continue, he says.

Do not be sad. The attack was against western troops and it killed many of them also.

Muslism that died will be in paradise inshAllah. Dead kafirs will burn in hell.

Al Jazeera is owned by Qatari royal family. He sold Al Jazeera English to Time Warner. Time Warner is a jewish media giant.

And I know where dar ul aman road is. I seriously doubt that 18 civilians were killed.

Usually when attacks are aimed at moving targets inside cities civilians get hurt or even killed.

But the fact that the entire area was closed for most of the day yesterday indicates that the foreign troops were hiding something.

Usually they do not seal entire area when civilians get killed.

                      So you do the math.

Then what are you doing in Holland?

People such as you are so blind on the ground realities. Do you understand, Afghanistan is in no state to rule over the world. You concentrate on how your average afghan can get more than two plates of food in a week instead of ruling over the world. I hate such non sense comments.

I suggest you worry about why Afghan taliban sent jirga to free Pakistani ISI col Imam?

Do you want to help this women have a better and respectable life or does your fantasies of taliban ruling the whole world divert you?
