like it was said above, a lot of chinese military tech is based on old russian tech. china has a very long way to go to matching american military technology, if ever.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

At the moment, why not? China would be stupid to re-invent what the Russians (and Americans already have discovered).

I'm looking at where China are lacking, and there's not too many areas at the moment. AESA, aircraft manufacture (J-20) etc.

China is already number 2 in military spending. It continues to grow.

Why do you believe the Chinese will not produce better equipment?

but you are forgetting that India is no more a Russia (only) based military technology setup rather now an russian-american-europe based one with tranfer of technology so now how is chinese tech better then even american & europe based one lets face it j-10's (4th) generation has to first be inducted fully in large numbers then it will take another 4-5 years before it can be fully evaluated while on the other hand u.s ,europe & russia already have F-16 block 60,F-18 ,f-22 (5th generation)-Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II (5th generation) (U.S) on the europe front rafael(france)-euro fighter typhoon(U.K)(4.5 gen)-Saab grippen (ng) (swedish)-mig-35(almost 5th generation) russian-su 37 ( russian) Boeing C-17 Globemaster III (U.S) Airbus A400M (europe) while chinese j-10's both a & b needs another 4-5 year's of experience & its j-xx (5th generation) is not even fully developed

I do not doubt Chinese advancements in quality. By the same logic, why do you assume India wouldn't improve the quality of its equipments. We are already buying/collaborating with the Ruskies and the Israelis. How do you say Pakistan will hold the edge in quality?

because of pakistan but also mainly to showboat and show the world they are on the map. their space program is a good example of this.

J-XX has been flying. It's well into the development phase and should be launched 6 or 7 years.

if India can keep up with China then it might do. But China's aero industry is miles ahead. The Russians and Israelis arent going to be able to keep up with the Chinese. I don't think India will either to be honest. It just looks like China is going to dominate Asia fairly soon.

They are fast. And they chose a better model of borrowing and copying (or not reinventing the wheel as you put it) than India's. But I believe India can do that too. Our PAK-FA collaboration with Russia is one such example. In the end its just finances that matter.

And we dont need to take China head on. Just keep enough firepower to provide a deterrence. Kind of like what Pakistan does vis-a-vis India, if you get my drift.

Pakistan's deterrence from being invaded by India is the US.

Actually Pakistan reaped the most benefit out of the 9/11 and the American WoT. Before that Pakistan was a pariah and a military dictatorship.

India keeps global powers on its side by its economic strength. India says "we wont buy your weapons or allow your investments, if you're not on our side". Whereas Pakistan frequently says "we will let terrorists and Taliban militias loose if you're not on our side". It takes a smart country to use the latter.

True but The latter policy only works temporarily, eventually that policy backfires. When you use the latter policy, foreign investment flees from your nation and eventually the nation crumbles.
North Korea is also trying to employ those tactics. Basically its "we will menace you unless you give us food."
