US to supply Pakistan with warplanes - To kill more Muslims

The US has pledged to supply Islamabad with modern warplanes by June in an effort to step up the fight against militants in Pakistan's tribal regions.

The assurance was given by US officials in a bilateral security cooperation working group meeting in Rawalpindi on Friday, a Press TV correspondent reported.

F-16 fighter jets, the Lockheed P3C maritime surveillance aircraft, Cobra helicopters and the Oliver Hazard frigate are among the fleet of warplanes and frigates due to be supplied to Pakistan.

Meanwhile, General Stanley A. McChrystal, the commander of International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, met with General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, the chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan's military, while on a visit to the country's military headquarters.

The two officials discussed a series of issues, ranging from the current situation in Afghanistan and the new US strategy in the country to regional security and the ongoing operations against militants, Pakistan's Army spokesman said.

The senior military officials also vowed to upgrade the level of intelligence exchanges between the two countries.

Pakistan's relations with neighboring Afghanistan remain tense as Kabul accuses Islamabad of not doing enough to stop militants from crossing the border into Afghanistan.

The OHP Perry Class frigates are an interim solution to our ongoing Navy Modernisation programs. Pakistan is already building its own frigates in collaboration with China, own Corvettes in collaboration with Turkey, and after having acquired the ability to indegineously manufacture Agosta subs Pakistan Navy plans on collaborating with the French for building the Marlin class subs, or the Germans for U-214 subs..The P-3C ORions are for maritime surveillance purposes only, Pakistan had them upgraded through US to be equipped with Harpoons and E-2C Hawkeye Radome (its a radar, those spinning tops u see on planes)

Pakistan Airforce bought 18 F-16's Block 52+ and has opted to buy 18 more, deliveries have already started in january. It was a 5 Billion dollar deal that included planes and logistic support like:

• 200 AIM-9M-8/9s Sidewinders
• 500 AIM-120C5s AMRAAM BVR(Beyond Visual Range) missiles
• 800 general purpose 2,000 and 500-pound bombs
• 500 JDAM bomb guidance systems
• Link 16
• JHMCS
• Sniper targetting pod
• CFTs

In addition to this PAF has achieved the milestone of indigenously manufacturing its own 4th gen fighter with Chineese collaboration..It will use state of the art western avionics and will supplement the F-7s and Mirage's tha will be retired. PAF has also bought Air-refuellers, 4 Erie-eye AEW and AWAC systems and plans to acquire 6 Chineese AWACs with transfer of Technology ..home designation ZDK-03..Furthermore, China offered to sell PAF its most advanced fighter, PAF will start acquiring these in 2013 after further improvements have beeen made to them.

Pak military has been offered by US its latest AH-1Z viper attack helos not the cobras, we will acquire these in 2014, in addition to this Pak has acquired various defence systems such as the Spada-2000 Advanced Air Defense, its a high supersonic defence system capable of engaging 100 targets simultaneously. Pakistan is also designing a new MBT Alkhalid II and Pakistan is already indeginously producing Al-Khalid..Pakistan is engaged in talks with the saudis, lankans and peru as potential customers for Al-Khalid

Now that you have read all this do yo u think we need all this for some terrorists ? NO this is a matter of National Security and all these acquisitions are to ensure our survival and defence.

^ PAF F-16's are being acquired through a 5 Billion dollar deal and the price for each of the eight OHP frigates is 78 million dollars..and Thats all Pakistan is getting from US..plus we paid for the ORion upgrades too

Nothing is free, and bulk of Pakistan's military modernisation is being done indigenously with collaboration from different countries..Our AWACs are from China and Sweden, Subs from france..Air defence from China and Italy, fighter program through China and corvettes with Turkey
