wasn't he kidnapped by the talibs a while back?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Yes he was kidnapped along with his other mate [khalid khwaja] last year. His other mate was killed immediately after kidnapping in FATA.

This clearly defines the difference between Afghan Talibans and TTP. For all those who used to say that Afghan and Pakistani Talibans are one this is an answer an open reply !!

Plus, May his soul rest in peace!!

Col Imam was the mentor of Mulla Omar and others "Afghan" Taliban , who were infact Paki proxies and that is why it must be a sad day for them. The FATA Taliban have anti state elements in them. The Taliban in the bar watan are different from those of lar watan. The killing of Col Imam is the proof of this fact. He was the mentor of the bar watan Taliban and an enemy of Pashtuns / Afghans across durand line.

Your sadness over his death is understandable. He was the brain behind the killing of thousands of Afghans killed by Paki proxies for which Pashtuns like you and other few are cheerleeding to make your ideological masters happy.

Look at his interviews ; he's a good man
I refuse to believe he has been killed.

I'm glad to see it's rumors only.
The same have been floating even here on PF for quite some time.

Before getting sad, let's find out whether
this report has any truth to it.

he was kidnapped purportedly by a group no one had previously heard of.
                    They called themselves

                    The Asian Tigers.
No one has heard from them since, either.

it's believed they are Punjabi militants operating in the Tribal Areas.

dont ttp always say that mulla omar is their amirul momineen?
and this guy was probably killed by some other group not ttp.

the people who had captured him were so called Asian tigers which sound nothing like a local group.

all i can say is i dont know

ISI-Taliban conspiracy is getting quite played.

The Taliban were around Kandahar in the 70"s. Did ISI use them as a proxy even then?

You're a SMART 'idiot' if you're saying what sounds like you are.

I'm sick of hearing this mantra trotted out: as though the ISI were the
                          Kings of the Universe.

Read what Hamid Gul said about Afghans in the Political Section
                          piece I posted yesterday.

THEY LIKE PASHTUNS; they are NOT against them.
They look out for their own interests, as well, but
how many people alive in this modern world are selfless ?

Taleban are Punjab's proxies simple as that. Even a low-level Punjabi Haveldar can make the highest-ranked leader of Taleban bend bend his four...Haqqanis, Mullah Omars, Gulbuddins, are the guest of Punjabi army and its intelligence apparatus and not Pashtuns of KP and FATA...

How can Haqqanis, Omars, Gulbuddins, etc. have sanctauries in KP and FATA without the approval of Shuja Pasha, the DG ISI?

There should be a limit to selling one's dignity and self-respect....

I am sure you are just one of those thousands of Taliban lovers who are in emotional trauma.

By the way, being able to pretend like a good man in the interviews does not qualify someone for immortality.
