  • Swiss vote on minaret ban

In Switzerland in the future may no longer be built minarets.
With a majority of 57.5 percent, the Swiss took in a plebiscite on an initiative.
The result was for most parties and the government completely surprising.
The turnout was unexpectedly high at around 54 percent.
In two other votes, the Swiss decided that the export of weapons is allowed and the income from fuel tax for redistribution.

A slim tower rising from a mosque, from which the adhan may be called.

Minaret is an innovation in Islam. It's purpose is only functional. It has absolutely no religious importance. And in most Western countries it is illegal to call for the prayer via a minaret or megaphone. So the use of minarets is redundant.

However, the ban of minaret was politically motivated. The ban of minaret is a political statement against the spread of Islam.

        Therefore Muslims should be concerned.

While I don't support the banning of any style of religious building, I doubt that muslim screaming chants are banned in "most of the West."
