KABUL –Afghan police arrested a Taliban commander who had disguised himself as a pregnant woman December 20.

“We arrested a Taliban commander who was dressed up as a woman and hidden in a house,” Gen. Esmatullah Alizai, police chief of the northern province of Balkh, said. Afghan forces arrested another Taliban commander in the same house.

"A man … dressed up as a woman and sitting among other women … said ‘she’ was close to bearing a child, but we realised that he was a man and captured him immediately,” elaborated Fatima, a policewoman who took part in the operation.

Police did not identify either of the men arrested.

“It is very shameful, especially in Pashtun culture, when men wear burqas," a security official who requested anonymity said. "It sounds like the militants have no other option."

Police also arrested 50 Taliban fighters in a special operation starting December 19, according to security officials in Balkh.
“It’s really a misfortune because they [Taliban] don’t have logical motivation — their job is not for God, not for religion, not for stability and peace in the country, but for money,” Balkh Governor Atta Mohammad Noor said December 20. “Insurgents are making violence in order to feed themselves.”

An Afghan and coalition military campaign in violent parts of the south has pushed militants north, but Noor vowed, “Afghan forces will make the northern regions a graveyard for the Taliban.”

Recently, Afghan President Hamid Karzai ordered deployment of more troops in the north to curb the violence.

“We are (authorised) to eliminate the insurgents in our responsibility area by any means,” Afghan Army 209 Shaheen infantry commander Samiullah Gheyasi said.

While Taliban in Pakhtunkhwa slaughter academics, intellectuals, farmers, teachers, Pashtun Nationalists and female rights activists, in Afghanistan they have started a new tactic which is to pose as Pregnant women. If Pakistan Army were as determined to root out the Taliban as the ANA are, then what other tactic would the Taliban use?.

Its so utterly disgraceful that these Talibs have hijacked the name of Pashtuns and resort to such cowardly tactics to hide arrest from their constant acts of crime.

After all the training and assurances from their regional mullahs/commanders, yet they still have some fear from the government and Nato forces that they resort to hiding in Burqas and sitting amongst females which to their own policies is Haraam.

Utterly disgraceful not even the Serb in Muslim Parts of Bosnia posed as Hijab wearing Bosnian women during the yugoslavia war.

    Kind Regards

I have also noticed this tactic was used by the Radicalists of Lal Masjid, Didnt their Mullah hide in a womans burqa as well?

I'm not gonna lie, that is kind of tragic and at the same time really funny

but these are the same tactics that your precious European and American Intelligence agencies would use to disguise themselves as well. I remember when the 2001 Invasion first happened, U.S. and NATO Special Operations officers would actually sit in Toyota Trucks with burqas on to try to meet with Northern Alliance commanders to go undetected Also since you worship Europeans/Neoimperialists and their standards and want to sell yourself to them to become their humble servant, I would figure you'd be the first to find this not only something acceptable; but an emblem of progress.

    lol

This would explain the presence of Toramana and MazloomYarMasud, constantly trying to instigate animosities

This is nothing new, I dont even know why its even on here. The NA operative used to travel around afghanistan in Burqas. The Russians also used this tactic. Even during the First Anglo Afghan War, Sir Alexander Burns of Kabul was trying to escape the afghans in a burqa when his home in Kabul was surrounded by rioters.

                        OLD TACTIC not new.
