Is he reading in the Warsh? Wow. It's been ages since ive heard the Warsh.

Most people read in hafs and if anyone was to read in warsh in many masjids in the UK you can guarantee they'd be people in the congregration trying to "correct" them.

KhyberKhan: I've posted another one in that style in one of my earlier posts (Surah 'Ala by Mishary). But, I am told that that is not Warsh, as Warsh is a little bit different. Those two are Kisai. I will admit, the first time I heard Warsh and Kisai recitation, I (Astaghfirullah) laughed because it was different and new to me. And I know many others who reacted the same as I did. Over time, I like it more and more.
