The fear of what you may face after death compels you to lie to yourself just so you could be on the safe side in case you are wrong?? What sort of a belief is that??
I would be wary of any religion or idea that discourages me or takes away from me the right to question it. Simply because, if the promised truth is the ultimate truth, I should end up there at the end of the day anyways.. So why would one not be allowed to find out for sure and on their own??
