There is God whom when ridiculed, those who know him, will laugh along, for God can not fit in a joke. There is God whom when ridiculed, those who know him, feel hurt and angered as when they are ridiculed.

A devotee of any deity, concept, or ideology that is ridiculed will feel hurt if their convictions are true and sincere. I can't imagine anyone not feeling hurt or wronged, especially when their beliefs are ridiculed out of prejudice, bigotry and arrogance. As for criticism, that's another story.

For example, some atheists appreciation for their beliefs is so strong and sincere that they go out of their way to humiliate, and ridicule theists. It is their understanding that such psychological collateral is necessitated by their atheistic beliefs which they hold absolutely to be true (convictions). Thus, when their godless beliefs are ridiculed, they feel as if they are personally ridiculed. In many atheists you can notice their antagonistic attitude far more quickly than most theists. Why would that be if they personally didn't feel threatened, hurt, or ridicule?

Beliefs are beliefs, whether godly or godless. When challenged, everyone is equally hurt, and in many cases, personally.

I'm sure when I joined, I hurt, some, very personally, even though all I did was challenged and ridiculed their beliefs.

What God desires, no one knows. People however act like they do, and they do so most often because of their arrogance. People limit God to their own human perspectives and understanding: Is God love? Why there is evil? Should there be evil? Why there is hurt? Why is there death? Why is there hell? Why is there heaven? etc. it is mostly the desire and thinking of the human to whom God is usually confined. Where God shouldn't have any desires if it is content, full, complete, without a need or want. Wants, desires, need, love, hurt, pain, anguish, suffering, death etc. etc. etc. are all our limitations. And we childishly super impose them on the Creator of everything. Not realizing that if a Creator exists, the Creator will be free from it all. The Creators understanding of all of this is much different then ours. The way we view all of these will be through our human reasoning and logic...which in fact is extraordinarily limited (nonexistent in comparison to the Creator of everything).

Expecting a human to cry a river over pesticide spraying of an ant colony would be considered irrational by the most logical man. For the ants just went through hell, while for the human its business as usual. This doesn't mean that the human is without compassion, love or empathy. In the end, it all boils down to perspective and limitations.

The strange world today

We may now proceed to look at the strange world today while
insisting that it must be explained. If our critics cannot themselves
provide an explanation of the reality of the strange modern age,
they cannot dismiss, as false, our explanation involving Gog and
Magog, given in this book.
For the first time in human history one people today totally
dominate and control the entire world, its money, politics,

impacted upon society as to make the past look obsolete. They
caused the new and the latest gadget, style or fashion to be happily
embraced as the best. They succeeded in the process, in getting
mankind to recognize their way of life to represent the supreme
progress.

They have continuously changed, unfolded and reinvented
themselves thus changing the entire godless global society as well
with them until it became a carbon copy of their way of life. But
that way of life is decadent and destructive of human happiness
and social stability. They seduced women, for example, into taking
off their clothing to such an extent that they now dress themselves
and are yet naked. Men were so provoked by that nakedness
(among other things) that a sexual revolution resulted in which sex
has become as freely available as sunshine. Marriage is becoming
obsolete, most children are born out of wedlock, and people
increasingly embrace a way of life replete with sexual promiscuity
and casual sexual encounters. Pornography was used to whip up
lust and carnal desires to such a sexual frenzy that eventually
sexual harassment and rape became commonplace. Eventually the
insatiable thirst created by lust could no longer find sexual
satisfaction in normal private sexual relations and so public sex is
now taking over and people will soon commit sexual intercourse in
public like donkeys. Also normal male-female sexual relations no
longer satiate the sexual thirst and so homosexuality and
lesbianism are fast emerging as a replacement or substitute.

"Respect" is not an exclusive domain of religion; it is a fairly universal concept pertinent to humans and animals (also plants and books in my case).
