This is a subject that comes up all the time, i.e. Muslims are backwards, unscientific etc. because of Islam. Here, some atheists respond to such claims made by other atheists or theists. This also addresses the typical rhetorical claim i.e. Jews/Non-Muslims have wonNoble Prizes whiles Muslims can't etc. etc.

Jasmine, the Quran is absolute about its claims. Science is in a trial and error process and it will continue to be until it reaches answers that the Quran contains within it.

Guys, the videos are not about whether Islam has scientific miracles or not...its about whether Islam hinders scientific growth in Muslim communities. Many wild and outlandish claims are made in regards to why Muslim countries are "backward", without taking history and geo-political outcomes into account. Science grows in those countries that are rich, powerful, secured and independent...when you slaves picking your cotton and colonialist thugs snatching gold from the ears of indigenous people, you'll have plenty of time flying kites and watching apples fall from trees. When the Islamic empire was powerful, rich, secured, it grow in science...much of the science can be attributed to them. Only in the last 100 years when the Ottomans collapsed that Muslim nations are in this pathetic state. The democratic process has never been supported in Muslim countries by those who scream democracy. Instead dictators, warlords, feudal lords, religious sects etc. were supported.
