Not really they're just investing for a bigger hajj season..more sinners more money for theOriginally posted by Dust View PostWell, at least they are putting the oil money to good use.
A good use would be to build schools n hospitals in Afghanistan, Pakistan..feed kids in Somalia for crying out loud but all they're good for is selling off their oil barrels going to foreign coutries on $100000 grants and prancing around in skin tight jeansIt's enough that I know, Our time had a home, In your heart..Was a place..But the glass always breaks..

I agree that there are many humanitarian projects that they need to work on, but do you think it is possible that maybe they are trying to make it safer when people do the Hajj. One often reads about people getting hurt or even killed because of the crowds.
Just a thought.

What I meant was, that you could address the Harram (masjid) and the expansion of it, but not the Ka'ba as a building, which it always has been.

I can understand if they want to make the area safer for people. But to add extensions for monetary and economic gain is just plain out wrong. They don't even have to go out of the country to help people in need. There are a lot of Arabs that are poor in Saudi Arabia. Its just the royals that have money. Spend it on those people, on neighboring countries anything else but to see your own gain. You're monopolizing the house of God. So, lets just hope that its for safety reasons."Do not lose hope in adversity and complain that God singled you out for punishment, remitting others guilty of worse sins. Your present state could very well be His intent to elevate your spiritual station. Or He could just be testing your faith. Everyday that you persevere, you grow closer to perfection. Thus, your present despair may be the beginning of an infinite blessing". - Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani.
