  • That Which Will give You Life

    O you who have faith!
    Respond to the call of Allah and the Messenger
    whenever He calls you to that which will give you life;
    and know that Allah intervenes
    between a person and his (or her) desires,

    and that you shall be gathered back to Him.

    [Surah al-Anfal 8:24]

    What is a good life for us? What desires keep us from the life that Allah meant for us to have? Which voice are we listening to?
    Mohammad (PBUH) and the Prophets showed us how to live, how they lived should be my model I think. They were not interested in the worldly life, but in a life of spiritual abundance.

    For me these verses are a reminder.

        I am not so young but also not so old...I have had many experiences in many different countries some good some really bad and I have simply come to a place in my life where Allah must come first. Not just in my knowledge, but in my day to day, when I pray I do not want to do it swiftly (though sometimes I do) I want to be in the presence, in the awareness that Allah is all around me. No other relationship is as important. Sometimes I feel anguish that I am too far away from that which has meaning.....always hungry for more, not satisfied.....always searching for the treasure...

            I plan to watch the video when I can. Especially since I see that all-important spiritual term: exam.

            Zayam sounds like a deep person who has sincere wish from the soul for closeness to Allah.

            I'd like to hear more about what brought you to this point. Were you interested all your life in acquiring the highest and best spiritual state ?

            IF possible to communicate !

              So long as the world endures;
              So long as there is life in the world;
              So long as a single Afghan breathes;
              There will be this Afghanistan.
              Long live the Afghan nation.
              Long live the Republic.
