We have thousands of times more mosques than universities in the so called muslim world still we are just producing more narrow minded prejudiced mullas and religeous demagogues. So first of all there is no logic to insist for a mosque in a country which is not a muslim majority country and lets say even if the permission is given too what is so great about it.

    @Maiwand
Our muslims do not even tolerate the existence of the existing mosques in their countries while ask for more and more mosques in other countries ???? What a dichotomy!!!

        ISLAM THE DIVINE ALTERNATIVE

For many years now the religion of Al-Islam has been under the spotlight and vilified: You have celebrities, politicians & even the media distorting the name of Islam. Widespread are sound bites such as ‘Barbaric’, ‘Medieval’, ‘Backward’, ‘Sexist’, ‘Anti-Human’, ‘Extreme’, which have been used to vilify and tarnish the name of Islam. Unfortunately, most people are misinformed about the true beauty of Islam so below are some simple questions about the religion of Islam which have been answered.

        Question 1: What is Islam?

Answer: Islam is the true path to success in this life & after death. Islam is both a religion & a complete code of life, it is the ‘Divine path’ chosen by God (Allah) for the whole of humanity. Allah created mankind with a superior purpose in life, which is to Worship God alone. Those that fulfil the purpose in life will be rewarded with Paradise in the After-life, but the failures will be punished in Hellfire for eternity. Islam is based upon three fundamentals:

        1: Exclusive worship Allah

2: Adhering to the laws decreed by Allah

3: Keeping distant from that which God forbids i.e. evil.

Islam is unison of a religious belief as well as a political system; therefore Islam is the universal path for all, Muslims & non-Muslims. Those that adhere to the spiritual belief & the laws of Islam are called the Muslims, & those that only wish to adhere to the laws of Islam in the Islamic state are called ‘Dhimmi (non-Muslim citizens of the state)’.

Question 2: Is there a need for Islam?

Answer: Simply yes, because oppression & injustices have been coined with the History of all manmade systems (i.e. Capitalism & Communism). Islam is the system that is void of any injustice because it is the Path chosen by Allah. It has a detailed system that establishes rights & abolishes oppression, & this is not just a privilege for the elite but a right for every single human.

Question 3: What does Islam offer this country?

Answer: Unlike the false pictures painted by the politicians & their parrots from the media, Britain has been engulfed in oppression & injustice. The implemented system ‘Democracy’ is the tool of the rich & powerful. In Britain the rich get richer & the poor go unnoticed. How many old age pensioners can’t afford to pay the gas bills in winter? How many families are destroyed because of adultery? How many drug addicts have poisoned our communities to fuel their drug crave? How many people buy houses but never live to own them because of extortionately high interest rates? How many prisons are there, yet crime is not reduced? The list of ‘how many’ never seems to stop!!!

Islam is the only solution for every injustice. The system of God provides basic needs (food, shelter, clothing), provides free health care, provides free gas & electricity, gives parents rights over their children, prohibits adultery & punishes the adulterer, prohibits drug abuse & punishes the dealers, allows loans but prohibits interest (on loans). Islam is the true alternative for the people of Britain because the list of ‘how many’ is not just reduced but abolished & replaced with justice.

        QUOTE
“The West won the world not by the superiority of its
ideas or values or religion but rather by its superiority
in applying organized violence. Westerners often
forget this fact, non-Westerners never do.”
        -- Samuel P. Huntington

“They talk about wanting to re-establish what you
could refer to as the Seventh Century Caliphate. This
was the world as it was organized 1,200, 1,300 years,
in effect, when Islam or Islamic people controlled
everything from Portugal and Spain in the West; all
through the Mediterranean to North Africa; all of
North Africa; the Middle East; up into the Balkans; the
Central Asian republics; the southern tip of Russia; a
good swath of India; and on around to modern day
Indonesia. In one sense from Bali and Jakarta on one
end, to Madrid on the other."
-- Former US Vice President Cheney

        QUOTE

“History makes it clear however, that the legend of
fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and
forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon
conquered races is one of the most fantastically
absurd myths that historians have ever repeated.”
        --De Lacy O'Leary

“The Islamic teachings have left great traditions for
equitable and gentle dealings and behaviour, and
inspire people with nobility and tolerance. These are
human teachings of the highest order and at the
same time practicable. These teachings brought into
existence a society in which hard-heartedness and
collective oppression and injustice were the least as
compared with all other societies preceding
it....Islam is replete with gentleness, courtesy, and
        fraternity.”
        --H.G. Wells

        QUOTE

“If any religion had the chance of ruling over
England, nay Europe within the next hundred years,
        it could be Islam”
        --George Bernard Shaw

        QUOTE

“The United Nations system is flawed even in its
foundation, and even in its motives, to those who
can see through the veil and false declarations of
love and peace from wealthy, powerful, conniving
fear mongers who only want to always be in control
        over others.”
        -- Ron McEntee

“Nay, We hurl the Truth against
falsehood, and it knocks out its brain,
and behold, falsehood doth perish! Ah!
woe be to you for the (false) things ye
        ascribe (to Us).” [TMQ 21:18]

Before using big words to attempt to strengthen one's argument, one must think logically before they speak. Otherwise, you don't get too far.
So when did Masjid produce islamic Scholars and aalims? Never, Aalims and scholars are produced in Universities, not masjids. What is your argument? it makes no sense, at all. We need to have more universities and learning centers.

what does insisting to have a mosque have to do with not being a Muslim majority? We have laws here, if we are allowed to build it, we are allowed, why can't we insist to uphold the laws we live under? Isn't it narrow mindedness and barbaric to live outside the law????????? its funny you preach 2 different things in 2 different sentences, the exact opposite.
First of all there have been masjids acrossthe Muslim lands, throughout time...and they exist today. Second of all, assuming all the Muslim countries did not allow Masjids, why does it still not give us a right to have one in the USA? What does the laws of the US have to do with the laws of the Muslim world? None.

Subhan`Allah, what a beautiful name, try to post in a more logical way next time.

Haneef, I think you missed Muhsina's point.

Is Islam divided or united? I believe it is the former, by a large margin. Why does this division exist? Further, why is this division the cause of Muslim hatred for each other?

There are mosques that exist in Muslim countries, but people are not safe in those mosques. There is always a threat from another sect. Sectarian violence in Islam is due to intolerance with respect to each sect within Islam. Where does this intolerance stem from? The mosque!

In an academic environment, different minds, from different ideals, come together and evaluate a thought. They each bring there own perspective. Academia creates tolerance, for disagreements are penned on paper, not murder. Mosques are not the place for mutual disagreement. Everyone who goes to the same mosque more or less agree with what the Imam is saying and don't question, for questioning is taboo. As such, it becomes an environment of my sect is better than your sect. The irony of the matter is that you people are all referring to the Quran as your basis, but have the audacity to declare someone out of the fold of Islam if they don't agree with your version of Islam. Obviously, when something is being discussed there is always going to be disagreement, however that disagreement should not be the cause of violence and intolerance to the point of dismissing someone as a Muslim and calling them a kafir.

This is what is lacking in the Muslim world--research is not being done honestly, it is being done with a pre-notion of proving one's sect correct.

so when we post, we should speak truthfully, be it its our enemy or our friend that is posting, and we should admit our mistakes. That being said, what she posted makes no sense, and that's the bottom line!

First, what is Islam? can you define it? then we can talk about whether it is divided or united.

There are mosques that exist in Muslim countries, but people are not safe in those mosques. There is always a threat from another sect. Sectarian violence in Islam is due to intolerance with respect to each sect within Islam. Where does this intolerance stem from? The mosque!
People are not safe? things happen, but overall people are safe. there are issues, but we have issues here in the USA in ghettos and inner cities. Where does Islam allow violence against sects? can you please post where this is stated? How can Intolerance stem from the mosque? the mosque is a piece of land/bricks/doors etc..Intolerance stems from lack of education & knowledge. If what you state is true, then the Muslims should have wiped out everyone when they had control. so intolerance stemming from Islam is not true, this is your fantasy.

You know people don't kill each other in the mosques in places like USA, Canada, Turkey, etc. you ever ask yourself whY? Because we have a civil society, and there's educated people. Also people are not being bombed left and right, so extremism breeds extremism. when people are educated, that's when they can differentiate wrong from right, and become what we call "roshan" fikr. I am not sure where your lack of knowledge of hatred stems from, but I suggest you take a step back and truthfully examine everything and leave your baggage aside.
