Hamza Yusuf is a student of Jifri. And Jifri received his Ijaza from none other than this dude:

So why should we listen to this dude who is obviously not qualified to give talks on Islamic topics?

Just because he is revered by American media, suddenly he is listened to as if he has anything to say of any value.

Whats the difference between him and any other jaahil? Might as well go and sit and listen to a friend. At least you know who your friend is and whether he is trustworthy or not.

I don't have a personal problem with him. But I dislike deviants and innovators in general who give talks without substance.

shlombay, you don't get it.. Tahir-ul-Qadri refers to Sangar's people as the biggest kaafirs on earth.

By the way, Tahir-ul-Qadri preaches love, tolerance and togetherness. Salafis preach segregation and chauvinism. Therefore, they are so incompatible that they can never be together as one.

SAngar is a wahabi, and wahabis hate main stream muslims, that's the problem. He keeps calling him deviant, in the month of Ramadan. Hamza Yusuf has many ijaza(at) from ulama around the world.

This is what happens when people aren't taught deen at an early age and left for any sect/political group to take hold off. They become self righteous, arrogant, pompous creatures hating everyone and everything. KAafir, deviant, bidah, bidah, shirk, shirk...

The name Qadri is the same as the name Qadiri. Al-Qadir is the name of Allah Most High.

And is not likening a Muslim to a known kafir a form of takfir?

LOL typical sufi hypocricy. It is okay to use the name of allah as a derogatory word but it is wrong to substitute the last name of a famous taghoot into padri.

the companions weren't all taught the deen at early age. Are you saying they were likewise self righteous and arrogant?

How does that make any sense? Islam wasn't established at that time..

We have been taught how to pray, fast, etc, that's why you see these afghans coming to the west and then praying like women
