i love every part of ramadhan, waking up for sahri, doing salah, dhikr and trying to achieve closeness to Allah, it truly is a month like no other, mashaAllah, you just feel this closeness, a month where your prepared to give up anything for Allah. May Allah grant us the benefits of this month by drawing us closer to him.
When I was in Swat, my favorite part of Ramadhan was when the taliban (back then, they were not associated with extremism or violence) would knock on our doors for rojamaat, saying, "<something> raobasai khwdey mo ubakha!" I think the <something> was "dodai," but I'm not sure.
And we children would sit on the rooftops or on the trees, teasing them by yelling, "Roje rojey maatey, da talibano dodai maatey!"
My favoritest moment would be the smell of paparr and zalobai in the evening time right before rojamaat.
And food during peshmaney has its own special taste for some reason, and I always love it - even today.
i actually used to that for our local masjid
we used go around streets screaming ''wasifa raubasi khudai mu aubakha'' from one end of the street to the other
we were young back then, so anything good we would eat our selves lol
