No, I don't wonder why, because I know the answer already. Imperialism imposed its paradigm on the world so people have as a result become dependent upon its institutions to function. This doesn't make hegemony valid.
It's not a problem whether you want Mullahs to rule or not. The problem is you want Ferangyan to rule and model your ideals on them. Even your critique on Mullahs and "religion ruling them 24/7" is framed by their vision for society and ideals about human behavior. Nothing to do wih "being free" you just serve another master. In other words you represent the bigger evil the Mullahs are the lesser evil.
