From my understanding, Shias don't ascribe divine attributes to anyone except Allah swt. What they say is that some people chosen by God are given the gift of performing miracles by the will of Allah swt. Look at this example of miracle given to Issah as
"I create for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird with God’s permission." (Quran 3:49)
So Issah as could give life to a bird made from clay. Are we ascribing the divine attribute of Creator to Issah as?
Issah as brings dead to life
"…and I bring to life the dead, by the permission of God." (Quran 3:49)
Does it make Issah as the creator of life? Does it make us mushriks to believe in these attributes or karamats given to Issah as. What kind of logic is that?
Ofcourse as muslims we all believe that God is the one who is behind eveything and nothing can be done except by his permission. I guess people shouldn't go to a doctor because the doctor might cure them and it will be considered Shirk because only Allah swt can cure?
Ahlul Sunna scholars agree that karamat (miracles) are given to even Awliya (friends of God) so why is it so strange if Ahlul Bayt were given karamat with the will of God?
