Thanks for making this thread.
It will start interesting discussion.
But this video is pretty embarrassing.
How does dogma lead one to truth?
The information in the Quran & other religious texts contradict with our knowledge of reality at a basic level.Last edited by Damir9000; 04-24-2016, 04:58 PM.

It is also a lie to say that children are born with innate knowledge of God.
From when i was born to the age of 5.
I didn't anything about God.
I was pressured by my parents to believe in Allah and recite Suras.
I thought going to mosque was cultural thing to meet other people who wore the same clothes.

I did. I actually saw it twice. Once before & a second time when you shared it.Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View PostYou obviously didn't listen to the video.
They try to hide behind the mystery of God, a concept that cannot be proved or disproved.
God & Allah are two different concepts.
Atheists are not interested in disproving the existence of a nameless Creator of Universe.
But, Atheists can prove Allah to be false thanks the Islamic religious texts.
Because it contains man made information that doesn't hold up today.
For example,
Allah split the moon for Muhammad.
We know today that nobody in the rest of the world witness this event.
Many nations, record the events in the night sky. Nobody except Muhammad's circle saw this happening.
NASA has analyzed the Moon's surface. They found no evidence for the splitting of the Moon.
From this, we can deduce that Muhammad made it up. Therefore, his religion is a lie & Allah, Muhammad's version of God is fake.Last edited by Damir9000; 04-25-2016, 01:43 PM.

Allah doesn't exist because something attributed to Allah didn't happen. Is that it?
So if Somebody says Damir ate banana's at Starbucks and I go and see that they don't serve banana's at Starbucks, does that mean you don't exist?Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. well, the difference is I am a real person.Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View PostLet's brake this down:

You can see me , talk to me etc...
Allah isn't.
Allah is Muhammad's imaginary all-knowing friend.
If we find evidence that Muhammad said something that was false then yes, Allah would be false.
Because Muhammad is the one pushing for Allah.
Allah doesn't talk to anybody but Muhammad.
So we can conclude that Muhammad made it all up.
also eating bananas isn't anything special. You can eat bananas or other fruits at Starbucks even if they don't serve it.Last edited by Damir9000; 04-25-2016, 02:36 PM.

Actually, there are no such thing as logic classes to my knowledge.Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View PostObviously you failed logic classes in school.
I did pass all of my 3 philosophy classes in College.
Your attachment to Islam & Allah isn't based on logic but based on emotion.
There is no evidence to suggest that Allah is real.
Islam is nothing special. It is just another religion.

Logic is not based on evidence. In order to pass philosophy classes, you need to know basics in logic. What kind of college did you attend?Originally posted by Damir9000 View PostActually, there are no such thing as logic classes to my knowledge.

Although I haven't watched the video, this is actually a perfect example of a faulty syllogism in reasoning.
Because it assumes that
a.) Muhammad's "version" of Allah (swt) only existed upon mention from Muhammad.
b.) Muhammad made it up, it could have been an apocryphal story that crept in
c.) It over simpliies the current Islamic narrative and the subtleties that scholars have historically dealt with regarding these events. The Qur'an itself states it has two main dynamics in style, one literal and one allegorical.
d.) Qur'an Also stresses that there are events that are not within the scope of direct observable experience. This may fall under the wishy washy of "unfalsiifiable" claims, But if you concede a claim can't be shown false, then you can't show it as a lie
hence this is a faulty syllogism.
Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."
